It is scared!
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
KANKU(Kansai International Airport) got serious damages caused by the typhoon. Airport announced that domestic flight will be recovered soon, however runway A and international flight doesn’t have any recovery schedule yet. It is a critical trouble as an major international airport, isn’t it?
After checking several news, I found out that KANKU has been struggling with the subsidence since its opening. It was told that surface of runway got about 4 meters lower than the time of airport opening. The damage submerged at high tide could be predictable, as we all can imagine.
Learn wisdom by the follies of others.
There are many many offshore airports in Japan. We really expects them to predict damages under 120% more risks than they can imagine.

When I thought like above, one big earth quake got happen in Hokkaido early yesterday morning. And it shut Chitose Airport down. To the travelers from foreign countries to Japan, we strongly recommended you to visit Kitakyushu for sightseeing, where low earthquake rate, to stay in our town Komorie, where is strong in heavy rain and to make reservation at TOUKA which stand on the hill, way higher than the TSUNAMI sea level prediction.

怖いね！
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
台風の被害で閉鎖されている関西国際空港、国内線の復旧目処は立ったようですが、水没したA滑走路を含む国際線の復旧は目処が立っていない様子、とんでもない事態に陥りましたね。
（当宿のリピータゲストで日本大ファンの香港ボーイも関西で足止めを食っているそうです。）
聞けば、そもそも関空は開港以来ひどい地盤沈下に悩まされている飛行場だとのこと、ニュースでは開港当時より4mも沈下しているそうです。「高潮で水没」は間違いなく「想定できた被害」です。

さて、人の振り見て我が振り直せ、、、我が街・北九州を含め、日本は海上空港だらけです。今後の維持管理にはどの空港もリスク上増しで想定してもらいたいものです。
