What day is it yesterday?
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
Yesterday, I see many people saying that “Today is the day just one year to the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic”. However, yesterday have another special meaning in this prefecture, FUKUOKA.
13 years have passed since that tragedy “Uminonakamichi Ohashi drunk driving accident*”.
(*A high speeded car driven by drunk Fukuoka city officer hit a family car on the bridge “Uminonakamichi Ohashi” and hit car was dive in to the ocean. 3 kids was drowned in the car. The mother had dive to the sinking car again and again calling her kids’ name.)
I saw local police were breathalyzing at the national road near this guesthouse and also in Wakamatsu area.
According to my friend policeman, there are still drunk drivers in Fukuoka. And they started drunk driving even in daytime lately.
I believe that it is moral issue, human conscience issue but it seems that it is hard to eliminate drunk driver in Fukuoka. (It is achievable goal with conscience but cannot happen soon, such as the world without nuclear weapon. I cannot help feeling weakness and foolishness of human beings.)

昨日は何の日？
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
昨日一日、新聞・テレビでは2020東京パラリンピックまで、あとちょうど一年になりましたと何度も報道されていましたが、ここ地元福岡県にとって別の意味で昨日は特別な日です。
昨日は「海の中道大橋飲酒運転事故」の日。あれから13年が経ちました。
ゲストハウスのすぐ下の国道でも若松でも飲酒運転取締のための検問が実施されていました。
知り合いの警察官に聞くと、県内の飲酒運転まだまだあるそうです。最近は日中・昼間の飲酒運転も少なくないそうです。
飲酒運転、、、人の意識・心の問題だと思うのですが、飲酒運転のない世界はなかなか実現されませんね。（核兵器のない世界と同様にやってできないものではないはずなのに、人間の弱さと愚かさを感じずにはいられません。）
