Time is NOW! Cherry Blossoms in Full Bloom
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
This few days, it is very windy and TOUKA’s NOREN(entrance curtain) has been blown away several times.
On Wednesday, sleet fallen around Kanmon area. So everybody felt winter came back.
But we can hear foot step of spring steadily.
There was no sign when I saw a guest, old friend, off last week.
However when I look down from same position today,
Yes, KANZAKURAs (cherry blossoms) are in full bloom.
(My neighbor says that this tree bears cherry.)
According to Local Meteorological Observatory, flowering season of SOMEIYOSHINO (most popular species) cherry tree starts around March 25.
I guess that many people are planning to visit Fukuoka in the middle of the season.
But how about looking up cherry blossoms in full bloom, earlier than anybody else?
Light pink is vivid with background of blue sky.
(It is indescribable and quite different from KAWAZU-ZAKURA, same early-bloom but stronger pink.)
It is very special to look at sea and ships behind cherry blossoms.
Famous GANRYU-JIMA island and KAIKYO(strait) Tower are also taken with the blossoms here.
Don’t you come and visit TOUKA to see Cherry Blossoms in Full Bloom?
Not only this tree, there are wonderful early-bloom cherry blossom spots here, Kanmon.

まさに今、桜満開です！
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
ここ２・３日とても風が強くて、「灯火」の暖簾は何度も飛ばされてます。
水曜日にはみぞれも降って大荒れの関門地方ですが、実はちゃんと春の足音も聞こえています。
先週いらっしゃったゲスト・旧友を見送った時の画像には何の兆しもないのに、
それが今日また同じ場所から見てみると、、、
そう、坂を下ったところにある寒桜が満開なんです。
（ご近所の方によると、この桜はサクランボの実を付けるそうです。）
気象台の発表では福岡地方のソメイヨシノの開花は３月２５日頃ということです。
おそらくそのタイミングを見計らって旅行しようという方もいらっしゃるかと思いますが、他人より先に満開の桜を見上げてみてはいかがでしょう？
青空をバックに淡いピンクが映えてとても鮮やかです。
（同じく早咲きで赤の強い河津桜とは違って、そのはなかなさはなんともいえません。）
海や船をバックに見る桜もまた格別です。
ここでは桜と一緒に、かの巌流島や、対岸の海峡タワーも映ります。
そんな一足早く咲きほこる満開の桜 「灯火」へ見に来てみませんか？
