Japanese should not travel abroad now, by tourists from foreign country

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Now we are going into the middle of Golden Week in Japan.

We had a chance talk with Asian Canadian guests about both countries.

According to them, most interested country to visit has been Japan recently. 20 relatives and friends of them are traveling Japan now with each plan on each personal trip.

The biggest reasons are weaker yen and comparative cheaper prices.

Many people of western countries decide to come to cheap Japan.

Looking at the prices again,

In western countries, everything is expensive including foods and drinks. It seems to be natural result that they travel to Japan.

We concluded that it is big disadvantage for Japanese people to travel abroad now and it must be stupid to travel abroad now when we can not feel any reasonable experience.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

さぁ、ゴールデンウィークも中盤へ。

アジア系欧米人ゲストさんと、それぞれのお国事情について熱く語り合いました。

彼らによると、今注目はにっぽん！親戚・知人の２０名が同時期に別プランでそれぞれ日本を個人旅行しているそうです。

その理由は、もちろん国としての興味もあるのでしょうが、もう一つは円安と物価安。

みなさんお得なにっぽんにこぞっていらっしゃっているそうです。

あらためて物価を調べてみると、

欧米では食料品をはじめ、すべての物が非常に高価。割安な日本への旅行は当然の結果のようです。

我々の会話も日本人は今海外旅行をするのは非常に不利で、お得感のまったくないこの時期に海外旅行するのは愚策だよねという結論に行きつきました。

雨の日曜日 / Rainy Sunday

Rainy Sunday

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Unfortunately it was rainy Sunday morning.

But we heard engine sound of helicopter from the sky.

It seems that the leading group is approaching to this town.

However we decided to cheer runners from this guesthouse.

It is not because of rain. Our guests, who had planned to join the Marathon race got some troubles on their foot and lower-back, abondon to run this time and got relaxed here.

It were unfortunate for them couldn’t run the race but they all sweared to come here again and will finish the race.

It is exciting for us to have chances to host them again in future.

P.S. It was good experience for us to see the end of the race and the accommodation bus for the next time for us to cheer our runner guests in future.

雨の日曜日

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

日曜の朝、あいにくの雨。

なのに、しばらくすると上の方からヘリコプターのエンジン音。

マラソンのトップ集団が近づいてきたようです。

ですが、今年の応援はココ宿から！

雨だからではないですよ、マラソン大会参加のためにいらっしゃった当宿のゲストさんが、みなさんレース前に足や腰を故障されてしまい、残念ながら出走できずに、宿で待機していたからです。

走れなかったのは残念ですが、みなさんリベンジを誓われていました。

宿にとってはリベンジの際にまたお会いする機会ができるのがとても楽しみです。

P.S. 今回マラソンの最後尾がどうやってきて、どうレースが切り上げられるかもココから見れました。そんなことも含めて、将来ランナーゲストさんを応援する時のための勉強・参考になりました。

まだまだ微妙に心配 / Still worrying about it

Still worrying about it

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Lately, even we in a little guesthouse have been able to feel the recovery of inbound tourists.

However, we are still worrying about it.

There is one very popular sightseeing spot where more than 90% of our guests have visited.

We got guests’ message from the spot in the last weekend.

It seemed that there were a lot of people at the market, because weather was fine last weekend. So they could enjoy good Sushi lunch there.

But, honestly speaking, it is hard for us to be 100% happy about that situation.

Because, the prefecture on the other side of the strait is no longer the worst, but still second worst number of infection in Japan.

COVID infection may be no longer a threat, but number of death by COVID-19 has been still about 100 or more everyday.

As I have visited my old parents every other day to check how they are doing, so I have been worrying if our guests get infected in the crowd and come back to this guesthouse.

まだまだ微妙に心配

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

このちいさいゲストハウスでも、インバウンドの復活を感じるようになってきました。

でも、、、まだまだ心配なんです。

当宿を利用されるゲストさんが、ほぼ９割が訪れる観光スポットがあります。

この週末も現地からレポートが届きました。

日曜のお昼過ぎまで天気が良かったので人出もずいぶんあったようですが、とても良いランチができたようです。

でも、正直なところこの状況、もろ手を上げて喜べないんです。

今、対岸の県は、ワーストは脱したものの、まだ国内ワースト２位の感染率を記録しています。

今や感染など恐るに足りないのかもしれませんが、死者数は毎日100人前後で推移しています。

自分は二日に一度は年老いた両親の顔を見に行っている状態なので、万が一、ゲストが市場で感染して宿に戻ってこないか気が気ではありません。

それでは、必要を少し上回る厳しい自己管理を続けることで素敵な一日を！
