Recent trends of this guesthouse

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Since this year, we have seen an increase in the number of guests arriving by rental car.

We have also seen many guests with super big suitcases.

Even though everyone’s itinerary is for a trip to Japan for less than five days, their luggages are extremely large.

However, despite their size, the suitcases are surprisingly light when we help our guests carry them.

We hear everyone saying, “Everything is cheap in Japan”, and it seems like they are planning to shop a lot on their last day before heading home.

As I was thinking about this, yesterday’s news showed that the yen’s depreciation has reached its lowest level since the bubble economy in Japan.

I have a feeling that the number of guests coming to Japan for shopping will increase as prices have become even cheaper because of the currency rate.

Japanese should not travel abroad now, by tourists from foreign country

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Now we are going into the middle of Golden Week in Japan.

We had a chance talk with Asian Canadian guests about both countries.

According to them, most interested country to visit has been Japan recently. 20 relatives and friends of them are traveling Japan now with each plan on each personal trip.

The biggest reasons are weaker yen and comparative cheaper prices.

Many people of western countries decide to come to cheap Japan.

Looking at the prices again,

In western countries, everything is expensive including foods and drinks. It seems to be natural result that they travel to Japan.

We concluded that it is big disadvantage for Japanese people to travel abroad now and it must be stupid to travel abroad now when we can not feel any reasonable experience.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。おはようございます。

さぁ、ゴールデンウィークも中盤へ。

アジア系欧米人ゲストさんと、それぞれのお国事情について熱く語り合いました。

彼らによると、今注目はにっぽん！親戚・知人の２０名が同時期に別プランでそれぞれ日本を個人旅行しているそうです。

その理由は、もちろん国としての興味もあるのでしょうが、もう一つは円安と物価安。

みなさんお得なにっぽんにこぞっていらっしゃっているそうです。

あらためて物価を調べてみると、

欧米では食料品をはじめ、すべての物が非常に高価。割安な日本への旅行は当然の結果のようです。

我々の会話も日本人は今海外旅行をするのは非常に不利で、お得感のまったくないこの時期に海外旅行するのは愚策だよねという結論に行きつきました。

Finally, I found this price, the cheapest one.

We guess that this price is due to the currency rate, not futures trading price of crude oil.

However JPY is still low.

Under the normal situation, this motivates tourists from foreign countries very much to travel to Japan.
