I heard a wonderful news!

Since I made early retirement and start this guesthouse, I have heard many of my friends and colleague dreaming to challenge for themselves, if they would get a chance.

It seems that their turn is coming just now, because pandemic has made big wave of offering voluntary retirement among many companies in Japan.

There seems to be many talented high performances 40’s and 50’s worker in many Japanese companies. And they are facing to the best timing for career change.

Among many companies offering voluntary retirement, there are also good performance companies. In such companies, applicants can expect better conditions, including early retirement bonus.

So this is the good opportunity specially for the person thinking of second life in his/her hometown.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

なんとも耳寄りなニュースが飛び込んできました。

自分が早期退職〜宿泊施設を開業して以来、同期・同級の多くから「希望退職の機会が巡ってきたら自身も積極的に動きたい」という夢を聞いてきました。

それが、、、コロナ禍のまさに今、リーマンショック以来の「早期希望退職の波」が訪れているそうなんです。

日本企業の中には４０代・５０代の優秀な社員が豊富にいるようで、そうした人たちにキャリアチェンジの好機が訪れているようです。

No reason to excuse?!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Thank you for worrying about me who wrote about visiting pharmacy in the previous article.

However it was not myself who want to go to pharmacy, but my parents.

Old parents living in the countryside tend to saving money for air-conditioning. Besides they have been exercising less since this pandemic and that made their blood circulation vary bad. So they may be easy to get chilblains in this colder winter.

This happens not only to my parents. Your parents are OK?

When I accompanied my mother to her shopping, I found that this can be the reason to make U-turn to the hometown.

In my surroundings, I heard from a couple of my friends in the company I used to work for that they moved to Kyoto from Tokyo without leaving the company. Now they are living close to both parents.

For the office worker in big cities, remote-work eliminate their job as their reason/excuse not to go back to their home town.

This can be good time to think as a humanbeing or a child of somebody, before thinking fruitful second life.
( We do recommend this way of thinking specially to the people who commented about coming compulsory retirement within a few years on their seasonal greeting.)

コロナのせいで出来ない理由がなくなった？！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

前回の記事内容を見て、薬局ネタだったことで心配いただいた方々にはどうもありがとうございました。

でも薬局に用事があったのは自分ではなく、実家の親なのでした。

田舎の年寄りは節約しようとなかなか冷暖房機器を点けない性分で、おまけにコロナ禍で運動量も減っているため血行が悪く、寒冬にはしもやけになりやすくなっているのかもしれません。

こうした傾向はウチの親だけではないと思います。皆さんのまわりの大切な人は大丈夫ですか？

親の買い出しのお手伝いをしていて感じました。もしかしたらこれって立派な「Ｕターンの理由」になり得るのでは、と。

身近なところでは、前職の同期がリモートワークになったのをきっかけに、転職（転勤）することなく現職のまま東京から京都に引越ししました。昨年末から両方の親御さんの近くに住んでいるそうです。

大都会のオフィスワーカーにとって、もはや仕事はＵターン出来ない言い訳にはならない時代に突入したみたいです。

充実のセカンドライフの前に、人として、人の子としてＵターンを検討するのも間違いではなさそうです。
（年末年始のグリーティングに、あと数年で定年退職なんてネタにしている世代には超オススメです。）

草の根 / Grassroots

Grassroots

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

The first day of spring (Feb.4th) was already over, but we have mid-winter weather with snow fall this weekend.

In the middle of thinking about how valuable this area is for the people who are thinking to move (back/out) from big cities, a guest who is changing job stayed in this guesthouse.

As her career matches very much to the demand of this town and she looks tired with living in a big city, we promoted merits and conveniences of living in this smaller city, Kitakyushu, casually.

We did recognize our grassroots style of advising the merit of this town, specially to the tourists who are interested in this place naturally and our friends who once abandoned their hometown for big cities, to call them (back) to this town.

Don’t you try to perceive the hidden charm of this charm.

草の根

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

立春は過ぎたというのに、真冬日の雪もチラつく凍える週末です。

ＵターンやＩターン移住を考える人に、この町がどれほど価値があるか見直している矢先、ちょうど転職のタイミングだというゲストさんのご利用がありました。

それもこの町が喉から手が出るほど欲しい職歴をお持ちの方。大都会での生活にも疲れているご様子だったので、小都会 北九州の良さや利便性をさりげなく売り込んでおきました。

これまでどおり大上段に構えることなく、素直にこの町に興味を持ってやって来た旅人や、一旦は故郷を捨てて大都会へ出ていった知人を呼び込む・呼び戻す草の根活動を続けていこうと自らの立ち位置を再確認しました。

隠れ家的な？この町の魅力に触れにきませんか。
