Yes, I went to the Grand Opening?
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
There are so many people gathered, but official grand opening will be the next month. It is a quite strange announcement, however…
I went to the “Kitakyushu Stadium (sponcerwise, Mikuni World Stadium Kitakyushu)”.
Very first game “Japan Rugby Dream Match”
I really wanted be at Cheapest Seat of Free zone.
It is because I have wanted to know:
how Kanmon Strait looks like from there,
how main stand looks like, and
how steep the 2nd floor seat.
So I went there, watched them and experienced them.
“Ocean front, Middle of town” is the catch phase of this stadium.
It is really compact stadium on the seaside of this town.
Sea water is so close and it is like AT&T park in San francisco CA.
Sometimes ball go beyond the fence to the sea.
I also understand the stadium on the lead line of 59 degree which TOUKA’s lighthouse and another are making. And it makes me happy.
This stadium is very convenient from TOUKA. It takes less than 25min, door to door. So I am expecting that this stadium users come to TOUKA.

行ってきました グランドオープニング？
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
これだけ動員しておいて、正式なグランドオープニングは実は３月だとか。
ちょっと首を傾げる施設運営ですが、、、
行ってきました「北九州スタジアム（俗称：ミクニワールドスタジアム）」！
こけら落としのラグビー・ドリームマッチ。
わざわざ南側自由席狙いで、、、
なぜかと言うと、どんな風に関門海峡が見えるのか？
メインスタンド側がどんな風に見えるのか？
自由席２階階段席がどれほど急か？
この目で見たかったからです。
「海ちか・街なか」のふれこみ通り、関門海峡を望む海辺に出来たコンパクトなスタジアム。
自由２階席でこれだから、どの座席から見てもピッチが間近にみえるのではないでしょうか？
サンフランシスコ・ジャイアンツのAT&Tパークのようにタッチキックがフェンス越しに海の方に飛んでいくハプニングもあり、とても迫力のある試合でした。
ちょうど灯火の灯台と、もう一つの灯台とが作る航路導線の延長上にスタジアムがあることも分かり、密かに嬉しくもなりました。
反対に「灯火」からも見えるこのスタジアム、Door to Doorで25分かからないぐらいの便利な距離なので、遠方からはるばるいらっしゃるスタジアム観戦客にも当宿をご利用いただけたらと考えています。
