Best Condition

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Now it is Chinese New Year Holiday today, and it is the last day of three day holiday in Japan.

Since a few days earlier to this holidays, we have had sunny days.

Some of our guests enjoyed cycling with rental bicycles and some went Ganryu-jima island in the strait, which we can see from this guesthouse. They are enjoying outdoor activities.

We heard that some also enjoy light trekking Hiraodai highland.

At this guesthouse, guests can enjoy the strait town atmosphere under the blue sky with watching ships, such as cargo boat carrying huge ship parts on it, moving through the strait.

ベスト・コンディション

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

現在アジア圏では春節ホリデーですが、本日、日本では三連休の最終日です。

この三連休前からここ関門エリアでは晴れた日が多くて、

当宿のゲストさんには、レンタサイクルでサイクリングに興じる方たち、船でココからも見える巌流島に渡ってみる方々などがいらっしゃって、結構皆さんアウトドア・アクティビティを満喫されています。

平尾台をちょっとトレッキングしたなんて話も聞いたりしています。

また宿からは青空の下、大きな船のパーツを輸送している船を眺めたりと海峡の町らしい雰囲気を味わっていただいています。

Warm days have been continuing since last weekend.

Sky is fine but looks a little hazy.

We wonder if this is because of pollens and we are about to worry, but my eyes and nose are OK so far.

You can see the reason by watching these forecast of airborne pollen levels we often see lately.

We talked about this days before and we are recognizing that pollen level here is lower than neighbor areas.

This is a nice place to shut ourselves in this time of a year.
(The manager of TOUKA once thought of moving to Hokkaido or Okinawa where has no cedar trees. But now he knows a secret spot to escape from pollen.)

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。

週末から暖かい日が続いています。

天気は良いのですが、なんとなく霞んでいるような、、、

もしかして花粉？！と、ビビりそうになりそうですが、意外と自分の目鼻は大丈夫なんです。

その理由は、、、最近良く見る予報のパターンがこちら。

前にも話題にしましたが、やっぱり関門エリアは近隣と比べても花粉少ないみたいです。

この時期、籠もるには最高のスポットですね。
（宿主は、前職退職前にはスギ花粉のない北海道・沖縄への移住も検討していましたが、、、関門　穴場です。）

Spring of Sunshine

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Since “Risshun (=start of spring in Japanese seasonal calendar)”, we have had comparably good weather in Kanmon area.

However wind is still cold. Elegant traditional Japanese call this time of a year, Spring of Sunshine.

Recently we still have sunlight even around 5:30pm. So we want to enjoy the sunlight as much as possible.

It seems that temperature will go up in the latter half of a week, staring today. Real spring will come here, won’t it?

ひかりのはる

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

立春後の関門エリアは比較的良い天気が続いています。

でも風はまだ冷たくて、そんなこの時期を「光の春」というそうです。

すでにこのあたりでは夕方5:30ぐらいまで明るくなってきていて、ひかり、、、満喫したいですね。

今日からの週後半は気温も上がるらしくて、春本番でしょうか？
