Today is the day of Revenge!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Thursday night was the night of the harvest moon.

Because of the cloud, there were many people who could not see the moon.

But Thursday night was not a full moon yet.

The true full moon will be tonight, Saturday night!

I could see the moon Thursday, but I don’t feel it was complete circle.

The age of the moon was 13.7, Sep. 15th.

It will be 15.7, Sep. 17th.

リベンジは今日！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

木曜日の中秋の名月、、、

天気がいまひとつで、雲に隠れて月を見れなかった人も少なくなかったようですが、

木曜日のは満月ではないから大丈夫。

本当の満月は今夜、土曜の夜です。

幸運にして自分は雲の合間から十五夜の月を見れましたが、
まん丸ではありませんでした。

15日の月齢は13.7 。

17日は月齢 15.7 の満月。

それでは、どうぞ満月のように満たされる週末を！

Everybody want to see, but hard to see!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

This topic comes up so often among local male friends talk in TOUKA.

“What kind of ship can we see here?”

“What kind of ship do you want to see?”

The most popular ship, everyone want to see is :
Huge and Gorgeous cruise ship? No!

Sailing ship? No! (It cannot sail in strait.)
One day in twilight time, when I watch beautiful sky above Shimonoseki,

What? What is that moving smoothly in the strait?

It has enough length, but not so high and moving very low above the sea level.

There is a extrusion on the body and it has navigation lights.

Yes, it is SUBMARINE!

A lot of boys, including myself, want to see submarine moving.

Some one says that it can be seen often,

as submarine cannot move under water in this Strait.

But it is really hard to see.
When I found it, I might be so excited that I shake my camera.

No matter my camera shakes,
submarine moved faster than other ships.

It seems like Nessie, fantasy dinosaur because it is looks like and hard to be found.

みんな見たいけど、お目にかかれないもの

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

ここに来る地元の男性陣と話す時、窓からの景色の話になった後、

よく話題にのぼる話、

「どんな船が見える？・どんな船を見たい？」

見たい船ナンバーワンは、

豪華客船ではなく、

帆船でもない（海峡は帆走できないし、、、）。
とある夕暮れ、下関のきれいな空を見ていると、、、

あれ？ あれなんだ？ 海峡を滑るように進む物体。

全長は長いのに、高さはなく水面を低く滑るように移動している。

全体より上に突き出している部分に航海灯は灯っている。

そう、、、潜水艦！

自分を含め、潜水艦が進むのを結構見たがる男子は多い。

関門海峡は潜航して進むことができないので、

結構見れるという話もあるが、それでもなかなかお目にかかれない。
自分も写真に撮ろうとして、焦ったのか、画像は終始手ブレしている。

そんなこっちのことは全くお構いなく、
潜水艦は他の船にも勝る速度で海峡を進んでゆく。

なんかネッシーみたいだよなぁ。 進む姿も なかなか見れないのも、、、

季節の変わり目を感じて / Feel the turn of the seasons

Feel the turn of the seasons

Weather is unsettled lately, because of an autumnal rain front or growing typhoons in the south.

So let us talk about the sun.

I already talked that TOUKA is surrounded by nature and its energy, and the energy level changed by the season.

I put two pictures of sunset taken at the front of TOUKA.

There are big difference between two sunsets.

Yes! The position where sun is setting is very different.

First one was taken just before TOUKA was opened. It was near the summer solstice.

Another one is taken last week, close to the autumnal equinox.

We can see the difference very clear because there is Hikoshima island behind Kanmon strait and sun is setting behind Hikoshima.

The setting point will be more south toward the winter solstice.

季節の変わり目を感じて

秋雨前線のせいか、遠くで発達している二つの台風のせいか、スッキリしない天気が続いていますね。

お日さまの話題を、、、

「灯火」にいると自然やそのエネルギーに包まれることを幾度か記事にしましたが、そのエネルギーも季節とともに移りゆくようです。

二つの夕陽の画像を上げてみます。二つには大きな違いがあるのですが、、、

そうです。日没の位置です。

ひとつは「灯火」が営業開始した6月、そう夏至近くのもの。

もうひとつは先週、そうまもなく秋分を迎える時期のもの。

関門海峡の向こう、彦島という対照物があることで、日没位置にこんなにも差があることを認識することができます。

これからさらに冬至に向かって、日没位置はさらに南下することでしょう。
