Even in this country, every downtowns are decorated with orange color this time of year. This town is also no exception.
We heard that Shibuya, young people’s town in Tokyo, is requesting them not to have crazy Halloween party on the streets this year.
Every year late October, I always remember sad incident happened on the day of Halloween.
Do you remember the name, Rodney Peairs?
A Japanese high school student, who stayed in the U.S. 1992, as and exchange student, got shot by him, the resident of the house, on the day of Halloween, as the result of the student’s visiting wrong house for attending a party. It is way before Halloween got popular in Japan and Oct.31 in Shibuya was more quiet than recent 15 years.
Because of the incident, I was taught about Halloween, before I dispatched to the U.S. 1995.
If there is no such incident, the high school boy must be 44 years old this year.
I often wonder how his parents feel about the whoopee in Japan, customized/imported from foreign custom which was the trigger of sad incident.
There are quite few opportunity to be killed by guns but we wish young people to behave in a moderate way on Oct.31, considering about prevention of COVID-19 infection.
Thank you and you have a nice and peaceful day without any fears of the gun.

In the previous article, I mentioned that full moon would come later. However, to be exact, the time of full moon was 06:05 of Oct. 2. So full moon was just before the article was uploaded. (Because the sunrise time on Oct.2 was 06:11, we must not be able to see the real full moon in the whitening sky.)
The full moon photo I posted on the article can be thought as real full moon, because it was taken a little before the sunrise.
Anyway I am sharing the picture of moon in the night of Oct. 2.
This was taken in the park in midtown Kitakyushu city.
I took these in outdoor movie event which is held by the surfer I met at a beach last month.
The movie played on Friday was old American teen movie with dance, which was originally played in the year I left this town for Tokyo area. That time, U.S. was still great and Japan was also just before bubble economy. So I watched the movie remembering that good old days.
It was additional unique attraction that full moon was rising as story of the movie got excited.
This movie event is scheduled to be held in the night of today, Saturday, and Sunday too. If you are interested in the event, you should go there to enjoy both watching the movie and viewing the 17th/18th moon simultaneously.
