our port town, Moji, on the strait.
On this Showa Day, I was reminded once again of the incredible power of a company that originated in this town and achieved great success during the Showa era.

一番最初に出てきたのは、、、やっぱり！
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。
当宿で一番出費のかかる燃料代、その動向を左右するのが今の中近東情勢。
ホルムズ海峡を閉鎖する・解放するという話が出始めた頃から、どこかで聞いたような話だなぁとずっと思ってきました。
以前、その展開の面白さに取り憑かれたように読んでいた小説・コミックの内容と酷似していたからです。
そんなことを思いながらニュースを見ていると、、、
封鎖後の海峡を最初に出てきたのは、
やっぱりあの会社の船でした。

現首相はあたかも自分たち政府の交渉努力の賜物といわんばかりのコメントを出していますが、
この会社とイランとの関係を知っていれば、この会社としての当然の成果でしょう。
そして、この会社の創業の地は、、、
ここ海峡の港町、門司です。
昭和の時代に大躍進したこの町発祥の企業の底力をあらためて知ることとなった、昭和の日でした。
