Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
Today, we introduce fine place for family to enjoy good Sunday like today. We don’t think that tourist guidebooks tell this place.
I went there last weekend, to experience one new sport.
As shown in picture, the sport requires balance and core muscle.
To experience, I tried to just stand on low line, but it was enough hard for myself. But some skilled people jumped on high line.
(Picture is not a moment before falling. After this, he bounded on the line and back to standing position on the line again.)
Let’s talk about the Place. It is wide open green park, which is well maintained.
However, there has been invisible history on this land.
There used be Japanese army’s facility during WWII. After the war, this place was controlled by U.S. for a while. Late Showa era, U.S. returned it to Japan, and Green Park was opened in Heisei era.
Now, it is a comfortable park where families, kids and slackliners get together.
This is just “War and Peace”!
We hope from the bottom of our heart, that this peace will last forever.

「緑と平和！」
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。
今日は素敵な日曜を子どもと過ごすのにもってこいの、ガイドブック等には載らない 市民憩いの場所について。
その場所には先の週末、ある新しいスポーツを体験しに行ったのですが、、、
そのスポーツというのが画像の通り。バランス・体幹を鍛えられるもの。
体験では低く張られたラインの上に立つだけで大変でしたが、慣れた人は高く張られたラインの上を飛び回っていました。
（画像は失敗して落ちる瞬間ではなくて、この状態からラインの上でバウンドして、再びラインの上に立つという離れ業をいとも簡単にこなしていました。）
さて、そんなイマドキのスポーツも楽しめるこの場所は、よく整備された広大な緑の広がる自然豊かな公園です。
ただ一見のどかに見える場所ですが、そこには目には見えないメッセージがあります。
実はこの場所、第二次大戦中には陸軍の施設があり、大戦後しばらくはアメリカが管理した土地で、平成になってようやく市民が行き来できる公園になったという経緯があります。
そんな場所に今や親子連れが集う。
まさに「戦争と平和」！
子どもたちが駆け回る この平和な状態が未来永劫に続いて欲しいです。
