A proposal from a little guesthouse
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
I am a manager of this guesthouse who can’t get the rhythm of the song taught by a guest, which cheer former prime minister, out of my head these days.
The guest went to the other side of the strait, where is constituency in which the former prime minister was elected. But the guest injured his leg, while he made a pilgrimage to historical sacred places.
As host, we recommended him to go to the hospital but he don’t want to go there and he tried to overcome this by purchasing over-the-counter medicines from the drug store and walking stick. It was because he didn’t have travel insurance.
After all, our conversation turned to the topic of “travel insurance.”
I heard from him that in countries such as Taiwan, he will not be granted a visa (he will not be able to enter the country) unless he present travel insurance.
He said that the requirement added after the coronavirus. In my opinion, Japan should require such requirements as a prerequisite for foreign tourists.
As I still have fresh memories of seeing the news before the pandemic that foreign travelers were often neglecting their medical expenses, I’m quite disappointed in this country’s lack of sense in not being able to come up with or implement a quick change plan, like “turning a disaster into a blessing” by taking advantage of the opportunity of coronavirus infection pandemic.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。
ゲストさんから教えてもらった、元総理を応援する歌のリズムが頭から離れない宿主です。
さて、そんなゲストさん、その元首相のお膝元で聖地巡りしていた最中に大ゴケ、足を怪我してしまいました。
宿としては、一度病院で診てもらうことを進めましたが、旅行保険に加入してないからと、ドラックストアの一般薬とストックの購入でなんとか凌ごうとされました。
そんなこんなで、会話は「旅行保険」の話題に、、、
聞けば、台湾などは旅行保険の提示がないとビザが降りない（入国できない）とのこと。
コロナを境に追加された要項とのことで、自分が思うに、日本こそそうした要件を外国人観光客に必須条件として要求すべきではないかと。
コロナ前に外国人旅行者による医療費の踏み倒しが多いというニュースを見た記憶も新しく、せっかくの新型コロナ感染拡大を「災い転じて福となす」的な機転の効いた転換策を思いつかない・実践できないこの国のセンスのなさにはガッカリ。
