How about high quality Japanese Autumn?

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

I went out to see one kind of flowers to feel a little different autumn from usual one.

These are flowers of HAGI ( = Bush clover).

Hagi flowers had been read poetically more often than Cherry blossom or Plum flower in Japanese traditional anthologies, such as MANYOSHU.
I used to love Soba flower (Buckwheat flower) but Hagi flower is not bad to feel autumn.

上質の秋はどうでしょう？

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

これまでとは少し違う秋を感じるためにお花見をしてきました。

萩の花です。

万葉集などで詠われている花としては、梅や桜よりも頻度が高いそうです。これまで自分は蕎麦の花が好きでしたが、萩の花、、、悪くないですね。

In the gentle wind

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Yesterday, government of Japan announced the name of new Imperial era.

The name was was formulated based on the introduction to a set of poems from “Manyoshu,” And that part was written at Dazai-fu in this prefecture Fukuoka.

Not a few guests seemed to visit Dazai-fu before check-in or after check-out this guesthouse.

Most of them visited TENMANGU, but this photos were taken at the remains of Dazai-fu government in last February. It is not bad to walk along historical government place, without expecting any divine favor.

当宿に訪れる前に、もしくはチェックアウトした後にこちらを訪れるゲストは少なくないようです。

ゲストが行くのはおそらく天満宮の方でしょうが、画像はこの２月に政庁の方で撮ったものです。ご利益を期待せずに花の季節にあわせて、いにしえの都をまわるのも悪くありません。

P.S. 新聞の号外を奪い合うのも同じ国民ですが、初春のさわやかさとは程遠い気がします。
