Summer is just around the corner!

According to Japanese traditional (agricultural) calendar, today is the 88th night* of spring.

The image is from last week, but the fresh green tea buds were pretty vivid.

We guess that there will be an event here where tea-picking girls will perform hand-pick the tea today.

Japan’s traditional organic drink and Japan’s sacred mountain!

This is a beautiful country, Japan.

今日は八十八夜だそうですね。

画像は先週の状況ですが、フレッシュグリーンの新芽がとても鮮やかでした。

今日などは、きっとこちらでは茶摘み娘が手摘みするイベントとかあるんでしょうね。

にっぽん伝統のオーガニックな飲み物に、日本の霊峰！

これぞ美しい国にっぽん。

To know about my country, Japan

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

I heard a news that tornado occurred in Shizuoka pref. and houses and tea fields got damaged by that.

City of Makinohara is the beautiful place of tea plantation where I had driven through a few weeks ago.

Though I may not pay attention usually. but I do feel worry about the area, because I was there actually.

Saturday in the weekend was the eighty‐eighth day from the beginning of spring, when tea farmers are very busy harvesting. So I am worried about if the farmers I saw are OK.

日本を知るということ

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

今回の寒気を伴う低気圧のせいで、静岡で竜巻が発生し、家屋や茶畑に被害が出たそうです。

牧之原市 といえば、すこし前に車で走り抜けた茶畑の美しいエリア。

実際に行ったことがあると、聞き流してしまいそうなニュースにも心が動きます。

この週末の土曜日は八十八夜、、、あの時茶葉を収穫していた農家の方には被害はなかったでしょうか？
