Unfulfilled prayers
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
Around 11 o’clock, August 9th 2021, city of Kitakyushu was covered by rain cloud brought by the typhoon.
I prayed toward the sky above Kokura, followed by Nagasaki and turned on the TV.
Fortunately, it was windy but fine weather in Nagasaki. Blue sky could be seen and Peace Memorial Ceremony was held.
Both Peace Declaration by Nagasaki city mayor and Commitment to Peace by 92 years old atomic bomb survivor touched my heart.
During their speech, PM’s face was shown in TV screen several times. I felt so strange watching him sitting stoically in the middle of earnest pleas.

The rain in Kitakyushu, where is the first target of atomic bomb attack, might be Lamentation tears by the bomb victims.
By the way, clouds over Kokura and sunny in Nagasaki. It was just like the day, 76 years ago.

祈り届かず
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
2021年8月9日の11時台、ここ北九州の空は台風9号が残した雨雲に覆われました。
小倉の空、そしてその向こうにある長崎に向かって手を合わせた後、テレビを見ました。
幸い長崎では、風は残るも青空が顔を出していたようで、平和祈念式典も開催されたようで良かったです。
長崎市長の平和宣言や、92歳の被爆者女性が口にする平和への誓いには心を打つものがありました。
彼らのスピーチの合間に首相が映るのですが、長崎からの切実な訴えに平然と座っていられるのはどんな神経だろうと不思議でなりません。

当初の爆撃目標だった北九州の雨は、原爆被害者の嘆きの涙だったのかもしれません。
そういえば、小倉が曇って、長崎が晴れ、、、76年前のあの日のようですね。
