To the Origin!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

This is limited information only for the people who graduated from this area.

I put picture of the west view from TOUKA’s guest room this week. And I heard that some people feel those pictures reminds their old days. So I introduce the view from south window of TOUKA today.

South side view of TOUKA:
There are concrete building over the little valley. Around that building is same area address “Minamihonmachi” as TOUKA.

The building seems to be rebuild several years ago, but still be an hospital.

Name of the hospital is “Moji Hospital” It used to be called as “(Moji) Shimin Byoin*” in Showa era.
(*Byoin is Japanese of hospital)

There used to be obstetrics and gynecology in the Shimin Byoin. Many babies had been born in the hospital since the period of high economic growth, and I am one of those babies.

That means that I came back to my own origin biographically. (It must be my mother biologically.)

People from same province and similar age as me may born in the same hospital.

Japanese room mixed dormitory is not only ocean (straits) view, but also hospital view.
It is approximately half century since we were born. And now is good time to consider how we walked and how we will walk each own life. How about coming to TOUKA and thinking about life?

原点へ！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

今回は地域出身者限定情報です。

今週、「灯火」から見える西側の景色、つまり関門海峡の画像をいくつか記事に掲載したところ、このエリアのことを懐かしがっていただいているような反応が多くあり、それを考慮して、今回は南側の窓から見える景色を紹介します。

南側の窓の景色は、
低い谷を挟んで、向こう側にコンクリートの建物が見えます。住所でみると、その建物周辺も「灯火」と同じ南本町です。

この建物、昭和の時代にあった建物とは異なり、綺麗になって階数こそ低くなりましたが、まだ病院です。

名前は門司病院。 その昔、昭和の時代には「（門司）市民病院」と呼ばれ親しまれていました。

当時の市民病院には産婦人科があり、高度成長期以来たくさんの赤ちゃんが生まれていました。 実は自分もその中の1人です。

つまり自分の場合、物理的な原点である生まれた場所に戻ってきたことになります。
（生物学的には原点は母親のお腹の中ですが）

同郷で、同世代の方の中には、きっと同じ原点から人生を歩き出された方も少なくないと思います。

和室ドミトリーは、海峡ビューであるとともに、市民病院ビューでもあります。 半世紀近く生きてきた今、一度生まれた場所に原点回帰して、これまで そして これからの人生を見つめ直してみませんか。
