A measure to tackle over-tourism?!
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
This is some local sightseeing information shared by guests who arrived here by a rental car.
It seems that a popular shrine as a scenic spot on the opposite shore has implemented a new rule suspending visits during holiday periods and weekends, starting this year.

The official website of the shrine is inaccessible now, and the local travel site here doesn’t explicitly state the reason but…
…it seems almost certain that it is a measure to address over-tourism.
Closing on certain days to manage the flow of visitors… It is a standard practice – a measure we also adapt at this guesthouse, even though we do not suffer from over-tourism.
However, for guests arriving by rental car, this shrine has long been one of the two major destinations in the area, alongside the bridge.
We feel truly sorry for the guests who had been looking forward to visiting it.
(Unlike this guesthouse, that tourist spot has no alternative options, after all…)

オーバーツーリズム対策？！
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。
レンタカーでいらっしゃったゲストさんから教えてもらったローカル観光情報です。
対岸にある人気景勝スポットの神社が、今年から連休期間・週末の参拝を休止する規制を始めたようです。

神社の公式サイトは閲覧不可で、こちらの地域サイトでもその理由は明記していませんが、、、
オーバーツーリズム対応ということで間違いなさそうです。
営業休止日にして流れをコントロールする、、、常套手段で、オーバーツーリズムではない当宿でも採用している対策です。
ただこちらの神社は、レンタカーでいらっしゃるゲストさんにとっては、橋とあわせて二大目的地であり続けてきたスポット。
楽しみにしてきたゲストさんにはとても申し訳ない気がします。
（当宿とは異なり、代替手段がない観光スポットですし、、、）
