“Somehow unnatural?”

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

In a TV news, it was announced that City of Kitakyushu has released PV for sightseeing this town. So I checked it out.

“KITAKYUSHU Rhapsody”

It is not bad because there are so many scenes, I’ve been seeing everyday since I came back here, in the PV.

However, to tell the truth, I cannot stop feeling unnatural about story of this PV.

It is OK that there is only information about the certain area in a guidebook.
But if I will guide my important person who visit here:

I will bring to Karato Market after Mojito,

and go to Tsunoshima, if I want to show beautiful beach,

and drive to Akioyshi-dai for Karst tableland and Limestone cave.

It is sure from my experience when I came back home here.

Is that only myself who think / fell like this?

I feel strongly now, that HOMETOWN is not decided by either city border or prefectural border.

「なんとなく不自然？」

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。

ニュースで北九州市が観光用のPVをリリースしたということだったので、早速見てみました。

「北九州ラプソディー」

こっちに戻ってきて、毎日見ている風景が素敵にまとめられていて悪くないと思ったのですが、、、　正直に言うと、ストーリー仕立てがなんとなく不自然なのが気になって仕方なくなりました。

ある地域のガイドブックならそのエリアの事しか書いていなくて当然なのですが、このビデオにあるように、北九州に遊びに来た恋人を案内するとしたら、、、

門司港のあとの市場といえば、唐戸に行きそうだし、

キレイな海といえば、角島を見せてあげたいし、

カルスト台地に鍾乳洞なら、秋芳台に連れて行くよな、って。

自分自身の帰省の経験を振り返っても自然とそうなる気がするのですが、

そんなふうに思うのは自分だけでしょうか？

故郷って、市境や県境で区切られてはないなあと最近強く感じます。

P.S. もうひとつ、英語版の方のサイトにこの歌の記載がないのが、インバウンドを志向していないようで残念な気がします。
