Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
Well, I have written about public recording talk show held by one TV station.
When I arrived at the venue, it was just before opening the registration and there were two long line in front of the entrance. (That surprised me, because I expected less people for such event.)
In the venue, it was filled with heat, not of the audience but of strong lights. Event staff kindly advised us to take off our jackets.
Soon after, the speakers showed up. After short talk between a beautiful announcer and handsome reporter, the talk show started.
With the main theme “Rediscover the charm and potential of this city”, they discussed about following topics.
* The land of demons (This city is famous for the last YAKUZA/Japanese Gang)
* Coming-of-age ceremony (The most flashy ceremony in Japan)
* Desolate town
* Fukuoka city (always compared with Fukuoka city in same prefecture)
* MANGA and Anime
* Solidarity of citizens
My candid impression was that every comment was within expectations and there were no new ideas. More than anything, I felt strange that there was no local government officials or they were not invited.
After watching at my hometown from far places and experiencing recent situations since I came back, the most missing factor is smart idea, powerful energy and strong leadership of local government.
The process this city is declining is very similar as that of local public schools have been closing. During the process, there was no eagerness for survival of school staffs and teachers, compared with private schools in the neighborhood. In that situation, there was no use how hard students got discussed or how strong they united. ( What was compared to the surviving private schools in the neighborhood is Fukuoka city, for example, which has plentiful population, children and finance. Yesterday, the news about their subway extension and re-starting acceptance of cruise ships were hot topics.)
With increasing municipal bonds and debts, our local government put its citizen (many elderly people and less working people) into a dead end. It is like petit Japanese national finance situation. It is on the verge of collapse ( https://president.jp/articles/-/65582 ). Somebody have to show the united direction to citizen. The SDGs badges on their chests are fading without understanding meaning of SDGs.

ふるさとGood & Bad! (2)
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。
さて、１０日ほど前に参加したとあるテレビ局の公開収録のトークショー。
会場に到着すると、まだ受付開始前で観覧者が長蛇の列、、、（驚き！正直もう少し空いていると思ってました。）
会場に入ると、すごい熱気、、、と思ったら多分照明の熱、スタッフからは上着は脱いでおく方がよいとの優しいアドバイス。
何度か掛け声の練習をした後、ほどなくしてパネラー出演者が登壇し、美人キャスターとイケメンレポーターのやり取りを皮切りにトークショーはスタート。
「この街の魅力と可能性を再発見する」という大テーマのもと、以下の議題について議論が進みました。
・修羅の国
・成人式
・寂れてる
・福岡市
・マンガ アニメ
・市民の団結力
率直な感想は、どれも想定内の表面的なトークで特に目新しいものはありませんでした。というか、この議論の輪の中になぜ地方行政の責任者がいないのか、招待しなかったのか、それが不思議でなりませんでした。
故郷を外から見てきて、Uターン後はこの街の状況を肌で体感した者にとって、この街に一番欠けていると感じるものは「行政のアイデア・エネルギーそしてリーダーシップ」です。
この街が衰退していく状況は、母校の公立校がなくなっていった感覚にとてもよく似ているとずっと感じています。その過程で学校職員や教員に「存続への熱意」が近隣の私立校に比べて極端に欠如している中にあって、生徒がいかに熱く議論しても団結しても事態改善にはつながらない様子そのものです。（近隣の潤沢（人口・子供・財政）な私立校＝すなわち福岡市でしょうか。昨日も地下鉄延伸・クルーズ船受け入れ再開のニュースで沸いていましたね。）
市債や負債をジャンジャン増やし、高齢者過多で稼ぎ手がいないこの街をドンドン袋小路に追い込んでいく、そんな「プチにっぽん財政」のような自治体経営はそろそろ限界でしょう( https://president.jp/articles/-/65582 )。市民が団結するべき方向性を誰かが明確に示さないとこの街に未来はなさそうです。その意味を理解せず襟に付けているとしたら、SDGsのバッヂがくすむばかりですね。
