The future of Japan
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
This guesthouse may be thought that our guests have been all came from foreign countries.
But we do have guests from other areas in Japan (sometimes?).
This time, we were used as a lodging place for an alumni trip of a laboratory graduate who have been working in the society for several years.
It was very interesting to hear stories from recent young engineers working at big companies. Same time that reminded me of my company businessman days.
It was interesting to hear their episodes of working on development, patents, etc.
But what interested me the most was the topics about “mentors.”
Recently, it seems that mid-level employees are “appointed” by their as mentors for new employees.
By the way, my understanding of a mentor is that it goes beyond a company or other organization and serves as a guide in life, so I don’t think that someone can become mentor by being appointed.
There seems to be also something called a “mentor system” in Japanese society, and that made me feel that it’s still like a “Japanese company.”
So, “future of Japan” must be wow wow and that will be envied by the world, like someone songed before.

にっぽんの未来
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。
海外からのゲストさんばかりだと思われているフシがある当宿ですが、、、
ちゃんと（たまには？）日本のゲストさんもいらっしゃっています。
今回は社会人になって数年経った研究室OBの同窓旅行の宿泊先としてご利用いただきました。
大企業に勤める最近の若手エンジニアの話が聞けて、とても興味深いと感じるとともに、自分が会社員だった頃のことを思い出しました。
開発や特許等への取り組みも面白かったのですが、一番興味を引いたのは「メンター」！
最近では新人のメンターとして中堅どころが「任命」されるそうです。
ちなみにメンターについての自分の理解は「会社などの組織を超えて、人生の指南役」なので、任命されてなれるものではないと思っています。
「メンター制度」なるものもあるらしく、あいかわらずなんか「にっぽんの会社」してるんだなぁと実感しました。
きっと「にっぽんの未来」はWow Wow、世界が羨むYeah Yeahなんでしょうね。
それでは、「ああいう人になりたい」と思われるような素敵な一日を！
