Wanna sleep under the starry sky
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
After experiencing outdoor trip, I have been fascinated by the feeling of sleep under the starry sky. Now I can no longer quit to do it.
It seemed that ancient people thought that way too.
I could feel at the third grave marker that
they strongly wanted to sleep under the starry sky even after their death.
I went to see authentic one this time.
They prepared gold plated starry sky over the ceiling of stone chamber in the tumulus. I was so excited with thinking how romantic they were! (Taking photo was prohibited in the exhibition. So picture was from their brochure.)
I was also impressed by the fact that such ancient romance has been treated as the national treasure.
I visited the tumulus during special release period of mural painting by chance. Normally advanced reservation is required to see the real painting, but I was so lucky to make the reservation for the group 2 hours later. (Surprisingly admission was free, Maybe because it’s a treasure of our country.) Two hours is a piece of cake compared with the time of eternity and worth to wait. 10 minutes for the tour went by in a blink of an eye.
After the tour, I found same DNA of ancient Japanese people that make me fun to sleep under the starry sky. And I like it more and more.

星空の下で眠りたい
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
アウトドアーな旅をしていると、満天の星空の下で眠る感覚に魅了されてしまい、辞められなくなります。
どうもそんなことを考えるのは古代人も同じようで、、、
彼らには死んだ後にもそうありたいという強い願望があったことを、
今回訪れた三つ目の墓標で実感しました。
金箔の星が古墳の石室の天井に描かれているなんて、どんだけ古代日本人がロマンチックだったんだろうとワクワクしてしまいました。（＊展示室内は撮影禁止のため、画像はいただいたパンフレットより）
そんなロマンが国宝になっていることにも感動です。
たまたま公開日に訪問したのですが、本来事前予約が必要なところを、当日現地でも二時間後の見学ツアーの予約が取れたので幸運にも実物壁画を見ることができました。（それもなんとタダで！国の宝だからかな。）悠久の時を経て古代のロマンと遭遇するのに二時間待ちは大したことありませんでした。自分たち見学グループにあてられた時間１０分はあっという間でした。
星空を見ながら眠るのが好きな自分の中に、太古からのDNAを感じることが出来て、ますます星空の下で眠るのが好きになってしまいました。
