Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Saturday afternoon, KOKURA GION TAIKO competition was held in KOKURA-JO Park. It is traditional drum performance competition.

A lot of drum teams in each original colorful MATSURI Kimono competed in drum play technique.

The park was full of drum sound in several hours.

a little less than 20min by JR-train. (6min walk to station, 7min train ride and 5min walk to the castle)

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

土曜日の午後は小倉城公園で祇園太鼓の競演大会が開催されました。

その間、小倉城公園は威勢の良い太鼓の音で溢れていました。

どうぞ、心打つビートに乗った一日を！

It seems like so many topics about the other side, Shimonoseki, came to us this week.

One of them caught the attention of us.

According to morning TV program, observation deck at the top of Hinoyama will close at the end of this year and will be under construction for a while.

Yes, we gonna go there!

As it was told on TV, view from the deck is wonderful.

Next is your turn and you gonna go there in this year. Because it will be closed for two years, lady at souvenir shop said so.

「これっきり〜ですかぁ!？」

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

どうも今週は対岸の話題ばかりが飛び込んでくるようで、
その中の一つに目が留まりました。

朝のテレビ番組によると、無料で楽しめる絶景 が見れるとオススメの「火の山」の展望台が今年いっぱいで閉鎖となり、しばらくの間 立て替え工事に入るそうです。

それじゃ行くでしょ、と行ってきました。

で、そこからの景色は、、、やっぱり迫力ものでした。
（表紙画像でも伝わらないよね。）

次はあなたの番ですよ。今年中に見ておかないとね。 だって売店の店員さんによれば、建設は２年ぐらいはかかるそうですからね。

Spring has come to Moji. It comes on my dishes!

Moji has both ocean and mountains in such a narrow peninsula.

It is fun to go hiking to mountains.

Not only hiking, but also picking wild vegetables / herbs are so fun, this time of year.

This is the harvest of this week.

Takenoko (bamboo shoots), Warabi (it is not Wasabi. Take care!), and various Japanese herbs.

(in my aunt’s mountain.)

Dinner was full of spring taste!

「門司にも春がやってきた」

海あり 山あり、、、それが門司の魅力！

そんなに高い山はないけれど、ちょい登るにはよい山がいくつかあります。

そしてこの時期は山登りにとどまらず、山菜・竹の子掘りが超面白い。
2時間ほど散策した結果の収穫がコレっ！

竹の子、ワラビ、セリに よもぎ、これだけ採れれば悪くないよね。
（伯母さん所有の山にて）

収穫はそのまま晩ご飯の食卓にのぼる。

そして口の中は春の味に溢れる。

お金こそかからないけど、都会では味わえない なんとも贅沢な春です。

（ってか、門司もそこそこ都会なんですけど、、、）
