It is not so bad
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
It has been long period since COVID-19 pandemic was started. And we are seeing that posting papers announcing closed shops/restaurants even in this town.
Honestly speaking, it is not just someone else’s business. It can happen to us. So we pay extra care and effort to maintain our business.
However, situation surrounding us have been very serious, because majority of our guests came from other countries.
We do really need public support. When I visited at the tax office near the sea to declare our income situation last month, I got angry why government cannot support us fairly with utilizing the information we declared to tax office.
My anger is still in my mind, but I realized that there are not a few business support packages provided by various organizations.
It is not so bad living in this country, Japan. Specially small and weak business like us can get helpful supports.
But most of all supports cannot be available without requesting by ourselves. And due dates to request for some support are just around the corner.
Government helps those who help themselves.

意外と捨てたもんじゃない
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
長引くコロナ禍、町を歩くと閉店の貼り紙が増えてきたように感じます。
正直、他人事とは思えません。明日は我が身と日々身を引き締めて活動しています。
とはいえ、これまで海外からの旅人のみなさんをおもてなしすることが多かった当宿としては状況の厳しさは増すばかりです。
そんな当宿に不可欠なのが公的支援。先月、海の見えるお役所に国民の義務を果たしに行った際には、なんで国は国民がしっかり申告している情報があるのに、それを使って公平な支援が出来ないんだと憤っていました。
憤りはまだ収まることはありませんが、冷静に調べてみると、意外や色々な機関から支援が受けられることが分かってきました。
この国も意外と捨てたもんじゃないようです。特に当宿のような弱小事業者にはありがたい支援が少なくありません。
ただ、やっぱり申請しないと得ることのできない支援ばかりです。中には申請納期が間近に迫っているものも少なくありません。
お上は自ら助くる者を助く。
