It looks like just after the earthquake

About the UDON stand, I reported in the previous article.
Yes, the new UDON stand locates in the TANGA Market, suffered two major fires in half year.
I visited the market after a long time.
The west side of main street in the market was on business like used to be.
However majority of east side of the street was covered by temporary enclosure. That made me feel complicated.
That feeling reminds me the feeling when I saw location of a disaster during volunteer activity 12 years ago.
The feeling I had when local person taught me “There was no damage on this side of the street, but other side was swept away by the TSUNAMI and many people were died”
There was a very fine line between damaged area and no damaged area in Oofunato and Kesennuma.
By the way, Tanga market has had own redevelopment plan since before two big fire. According to the plan, the first new market building seems to be open in next year FY2024.

We hope that their project advance ahead of schedule and the stores damaged in two fires will re-start their businesses in the new building of the project.

( P.S. We can never say that there is zero risk that disaster happens. Tanga market had big fire twice in last year, So most important thing is awareness of disaster prevention.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。
ひとつ前の記事のうどん屋さん、、、
そう、旦過市場です。ご名答！
久しぶりに行ってきました。
市場では通りの西半分は以前のように普通に営業されてて良かったなと思いながら、
東半分は建設用の狩囲いで覆われていて、そのギャップに複雑な気持ちになりました。
この気持ち、東日本大震災の被災地にボランティアに行った時、
「この通りからこっちは大丈夫だったけど、そっち側は津波で流されて多くの人が亡くなったんだよ」と聞いた時の感覚にとても似ています。
大船渡や気仙沼でも被災部分と被災しなかった部分とは紙一重でした。
ところで旦過市場については、元々再整備される予定があって、来年令和６年度から順次整備完了していく計画みたいです。

前倒しするぐらいの意気込みで再整備が進み、今回被災した店舗も早く新しいビルで営業できると良いですね。

P.S. とはいっても、絶対に起こらないとは言えないわけで（旦過市場では実際に二度も火災も起きているし）、やっぱり大事なのは防災意識なんでしょうね。
