The Brand New Listing of our Secret Spots!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

It is the last period of SAKURA season 2018 Kanmon area.

Before all flower will be blown away, I wanted to check one tree which I see everyday. So I went to see it closely during our guest were out for sightseeing.

Yes, it is the tree of my concern.

At there, the hill was covered by dancing Sakura petals everywhere. It seems like one scene in the KABUKI stage.

Petals on the ground were soft and it is like pink carpet. It was too beautiful for us to step on the carpet.

The strait view from there was also wonderful. And it become our brand new Listing of TOUKA’s Secret Spots.

The real high grade spots in Kitakyushu/Kanmon is not on any guidebooks. Don’t you come here to try to be healed by such A grade power spots

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

関門エリアのSAKURAシーズンも終盤です。

散り終わる前に、毎日見ている桜の木を一度近くで見てみようと思い、お昼過ぎに起きてきたゲストが出かけるのを待って、行ってみました。

そう、気になる木です。

なんとそこでは丘一面、桜の花びらが狂ったように舞い踊り、まるで歌舞伎の演目のようです。

降り積もった花びらはまるでふかふかのピンクのカーペットのようで、独り占めするにはもったいない無垢の状態でした。

そこから望む海峡の光景も絶品で、「灯火」自慢のゲストのための「ガイドブックに載っていないシークレットスポット」に堂々ランクインです。

ガイドブックにないスポット・ショップ・レストランにこそグレードの高いものが多い関門エリア、、、一度 癒されに来てみませんか？

Next one is just around the corner! Post-SAKURA

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Now, people all over Japan are excited about full blooming Sakura / Sakura flower petals are falling like a snowstorm.

However,

Just between ourselves, there is much more wonderful flowers are just around the corner here in Kitakyushu.

Travelers from foreign (Asian) countries dress up and rush into deep forest in this city. In my hometown, we will see such a strange scene soon.

Yes, the season is just around the corner!

The best time to see flower is usually around Japanese Golden Week ( = Holidays, end of April & beginning of May ). But unusual warm weather may make them start blooming earlier than normal year.

Please plan go visit here in your very best dress to see incredible beautiful moment, having your only Camera man, called “boyfriend” in tow.

(Last year, some guests came from far countries could not go into the gardens because of ticket sold out.) Please be consulted in advance. We may have solution for the risk.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。

列島全体がサクラの開花・満開・花ふぶきに沸いていますが、、、

実はココではもっともっときれいな花が次に控えています。

ドレスアップした外国人達が山の中に押しかける、、、

、、、そんなとっても不思議な光景が見られるわが故郷です。

見頃時期は、例年だとゴールデンウィークが花盛りとなりますが、今年はサクラ同様、早く咲くかもしれません。

Congratulations on graduation – The last check-out!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Early morning yesterday, one guest checked out from TOUKA.

She have repeated to stay in this guesthouse since our opening.

She is originally from this town and worked in various places in Japan. She finally decided to come back to this town after her serious thinking for two years.

She has used us for her visiting hometown, re-building network, looking for job and finding apartment. It is the ideal way for us to be a base camp for the person who want to come (back) to this town.

We are praying for her success living and working in this town and want her to visit here again for having fun after she gets accustomed to the new life. Let us have “Enjoyable Kanmon Life” cooking BBQ, trekking to the mountains, and having parties with other members.

祝ご卒業 〜 最後のチェックアウト！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

昨日早朝、ひとりのゲストがチェックアウトされました。

オープン以来、何度も当宿をご利用いただいたゲストさん。

元々この町のご出身で、仕事の関係で各地へ赴かれました。そしてこの二年間、検討に検討を重ね、最終的に故郷に戻って生活されることを決断されました。

その過程で、帰省・ネットワーク作り・仕事探し・住居探しの拠点として、積極的に当宿を活用いただきました。まさに自分が理想としていたＵターン（Ｉターン）準備の拠点としての「灯火」ご利用です。

Ｕターン後の生活・仕事両方のスムーズな立ち上がりをお祈りするとともに、落ち着かれたらまた「灯火」にも遊びに来てもらいたいです。また皆でトレッキングやBBQ等々「50歳から楽しい関門ＶＯＬ（Value of Life）」を一緒に満喫しましょう。
