Yes, I was out of Town for a while.

The place I have been was …

(Station front renovation is almost over.)

Watching this view from office window,
I finished meeting, lectures, and other things there.

Whenever I saw this beautiful building renovated recently,
I reminds our station building in our home town.

(It is also under renovation in Big White Box now.)

Both station buildings are born in same year, 1914.

Estimated time of renovation completion was postponed to
Autumn, next year.

It is my last hope in this hometown getting ruined.

We are really looking forward to seeing this station,
coming back with original beautiful shape.

うまれたままの姿に 〜 キレイになって帰ってくる

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

久しぶりの関門の朝です。

実は用事があって、留守にしていました。

どこに行っていたかというと、、、

（駅前整備開発もあと一歩という感じです。）

オフィスからこの景色を見ながら、
打合せ・会合・その他もろもろ済ませてきました。

この素敵に生まれ変わった駅舎を見るたびに思うのは、、、

そう、郷土の駅のことです。

（現在は白い箱の中でリノベーション中）

なんと両駅は1914年（大正3年）生まれの同い年。
（年度始まりを4月とすると、門司港駅のほうが1学年上の先輩です。）

現在のリノベーション終了が少し延期となり、
今年度末だったのが、来年秋予定となっているようです。

廃れ気味の故郷に正統派の開発リノベーション、最後の望みです。

あと一年と少し、、、
生まれた当時のままの姿に戻り、キレイになった姿を見たいですね。

さあ、花の季節ですよ！ / Yes, its flower time!

Yes, its flower time!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

It is still cold in the morning sometimes, but daylight gets longer day by day.
More light makes us a little easier wake up every morning.

You may see in the Marathon article, but Canola flower is fully blooming in our town Komorie.

There is no Kiosk, no convenience store, no McDonald, no cafe, no bus stop, and no taxi stop in front of this little, little JR station.

However, Komorie station have flower and sea.
From the top of local mountain, we can see flower garden and sea together.

Yes, I really like such a little Komorie station.
And I want everyone come to experience such a little Japanese train station with flowers.

This place is so minor that view you see and picture you take here are very rare which other tourists cannot see/take.

さあ、花の季節ですよ！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

まだまだ寒い朝もありますが、日は少しずつ長くなり、朝もずいぶん明るく布団から出やすくなってきました。

マラソン記事の画像でちょっとだけ見えたかもしれませんが、わが町小森江では菜の花が満開です。

ちいさいちいさい駅の前には、コンビニも、マクドナルドも、バス乗り場も、タクシー乗り場すらありません。

けれども、ここには花があります。そして海があります。
山の上からは、そんなお花畑と海とをいっしょに、見ることもできます。

私はそんなちいさい小森江駅が大好きです。
地方のJR主要幹線にあって、こんなにちいさい日本の駅を是非一度利用してもらいたいと考えています。

マイナー過ぎるがゆえに、ココで見る風景、撮る画像は他では体験できないものが少なくありません。

それでは、どうぞ春の花畑の中にいるような陽気で楽しい一週間を！

おぉっ、すごく キレイになったね！ / Wow, it is getting better!

Wow, it is getting better!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Nearest train station from TOUKA is Komorie station, which is the smallest station of Kagoshima Line in the city of Kitakyushu.

Few days ago, I noticed that there is something different around the station.

What is different?

Rest Room in the station is different from used to be.

It used to be Japanese Style old one, but it is western style brand-new one now. And of course, it is made of TOTO*, which is the company of Kitakyushu.
(* It is not the name of Rock’n Roll band.  ）
(* Sorry for Steve Lukather. )

From now on, our precious guests will not be surprised, when they use the rest room of Komorie station.

By the way, almost of all new buildings in this city install TOTO’s restroom equipment. Building which doesn’t have TOTO restroom must be made by outsider, most of people here think so. People in Kitakyushu really love the products of TOTO very much.

Of course, in TOUKA, all three restrooms and shower(bath) room is TOTO.

Please enjoy Kitakyushu with your butt, with your whole body!

Thank you and you have a clean day, with Japanese style sanitary ware.

P.S. I want tourists from foreign countries, specially tourists from Asian counties, to try sanitary ware of Japan (Kitakyushu) and WASHLET. Because such experiences must be good for the improvement of sanitary environment of each countries and individual house holding.

(* In Kitakyushu, there is a very clean museum of sanitary ware too. ）

おぉっ、すごく キレイになったね！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

「灯火」の最寄り駅は、北九州市内の鹿児島本線で一番ちいさい駅「小森江」。

先日駅に送り迎えに行った際になんか駅の様子が変わっているな、と気付きました。

何が変わってるって？

トイレ が！

これまでイマイチだったので話題にしませんでしたが、最近まで和式だったのが、とうとう洋式ウォシュレット・タイプに。 それも もちろん地元の誇る “TOTO”社製。
（＊ロックバンドではない TOTO ですよ！  ）

これで「灯火」にいらっしゃる欧米のゲストが、駅のトイレに駆け込んでも驚くことはないでしょう。（正直、ホッとしています。）

さて、この街で新築して “TOTO” でない店はモグリ（笑）、というぐらいTOTO熱・愛の強い街 北九州。

もちろん、当宿「灯火」のトイレも、お風呂（シャワールーム）までも “TOTO”社製！

是非とも、お尻から、いやいや全身でこの街・北九州を感じてもらいたいです。
それでは、どうぞジャパン・スタイルの清潔で素敵な一日を！

P.S. 特にアジアからの旅行者の皆さんには、御自国・ご自宅の衛生化のためにも日本が、北九州が誇る衛生陶器、そして「ウォシュレット」使ってみてもらいたいですね。
