Strongest ever!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

On last Saturday, Typhoon Hagibis attacked Japan, we have very strong wind blowing even here Kanmon area, 1000km away from center of the typhoon.

Wind might not be so strong in downtown Kitakyushu, but strong wind kept blowing here, on the hight near the sea. The sound of strong wind hasn’t stop for long time and we could feel strength of the typhoon, the greatest storm in recorded history in Japan, even in Kyushu island.

On Sunday yesterday was clear weather after a typhoon has passed. However beautiful sunset made us feel sad, because we know that many people were suffered from the typhoon.

Praying for the people in disaster area and hoping their recovery as soon as possible.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

台風19号が日本列島を襲来した土曜日、台風の中心から1000kmも離れたココ関門エリアでも強い風が吹いていました。

町中ではそれほどでもなかったのかもしれませんが、海が近く高台にある当宿では風の音がずっと鳴り止みませんでした。観測史上最大という台風の凄さは九州でも感じられました。

そして明けて日曜日は台風一過の好天です。けれどこの台風で被害に遭われた人が多かったことを思うと、綺麗な夕焼けもなんとなく哀しく映ります。

被災された方々へのお見舞いと、一日も早い復興を願って、、、合掌。

Number-one in Japan for 5 consecutive years!

We hoped that the number one for good thing, but

it seems that this city is the worst number-one in Japan for 5 consecutive years for decrease in population.

This city has sea, mountains, highland (plateau), industrial area, commercial area, farming area, trading port, fishing port and so on. It is the easy place to live with anything here. Why only people is declining here?

Why, why, why, why and why?

In the company I was worked for, we kept asking why at least 5 times to find root cause and make fundamental measures to improve various issues/troubles.

Why couldn’t this city find its root cause and show us the effect of measures for 5 years?

May we have good morning of a bright future in this town?

五年連続 日本一！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

日本一っていっても、うれしいことなら良いのですが、、、

この町の人口減少数は５年連続で全国の市区町村の中で一番だそうです。

「北九州人口減が５年連続全国最多」(NHK 7月10日 18時53分)

海あり、山あり、高地（台地）あり、工業地あり、商業地あり、農地あり、港あり、漁港ありなどなど、ないものがない住みやすい街なのに、なんで人だけいなくなるんでしょう？

なぜ、なぜ、なぜ、なぜ、なぜ？

以前働いていた会社では各種の問題について、それぞれ「なぜ」を５回以上繰り返して、真因を突き止め、改善策を講じるという手法をとっていました。

なぜ５年も連続してワースト、５年間もの間、なぜ真因解明と、対策の効果を出せないんでしょう。

おいらの街には明るい朝がやってくるのでしょうか？

City government’s newsletter was distributed in this week.

Is this something wrong, compare with former topic “Population migration”.

We might be cheated by mass media, if we cannot think objectively and quantitively.

Huge number of people may move out from the town everyone wants to move in.

They are making best effort, but good result may not come out.

Officer apt to hide things which they want to show in public.
This haven’t change since the Imperial Headquarters during WWII did it.
(Which should local government publicize, the result of questionnaire by private magazine or quantitive analysis by Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications?

Every time I see this kind of cheating by government, I remember the words about WWII responsibility by a movie director in Japan.

“It is one of evil thing to be cheated by someone”

However it may not be a bad decision for you to move in this town, as a result of cheating by local government

P.S. TOUKA is increasing fun of Kitakyushu, little by little, one by one.
No, we don’t cheat anyone definitely. We have just inform our guest of the merits of living in this city as it is. And they start loving this city.

メディアは客観的に、定量的に見ないとだまされてしまう例かもしれません。

住みたい町、なのに、大勢が転出しているの？！

取り組みはナンバーワンだけど、結果はワーストワンということなのかもしれません。

とかく役人は見たくない（見せたくない）ものを見ない（見せない）ものです。

こうした報道を見る度に、伊丹万作監督の言葉「戦争責任者の問題」を思い出します。

「だまされるということ自体がすでに一つの悪である」

でも、だまされてこの町に住むのは、悪くないかもしれません。
