Unexpected! No, more than expected! which we are targeting at
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
The renewed sightseeing facility in this town is named as
“Kanmon Strait Museam”.
Facilities which we mentioned in previous article were paid service. But our favorite parts were not renewed and same as used to be, and all of them are in free area. Specially the most favorite part is “Strait Retro Street” which is like real sized diorama of Taisho Romantic era. That space bring us to the Japan of 100 years ago.
In addition, you can understand the biggest difference of Mojiko Port from other historical ports in Japan, such as Otaru, Hakodate, Yokohama, Kobe and Nagasaki by visiting this facility. It is also true cause/reason* why Mojiko cannot be the first class spot of tourism.
So, we have recommended our guests from foreign countries, a little different/unexpected way of using this facility.

P.S. *True cause/reason: The key word is “Western Culture”. The most westernized time of Mojiko seemed to be after WW2, when GHQ controlled this town. That is the biggest difference from other ports. So, the self-styled one of historical top 3 international ports in Taisho era is still struggling to be a major spot of tourism in Japan.
In such situation, we are gathering good and timely information/idea to make our guests to have a 150% fun time in this town.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
前の記事から紹介しているリニューアルされたこの町の観光施設、、、
「関門海峡ミュージアム」
先に記事にした新しい施設は有料のものですが、自分が気に入っているのは無料の部分です。特に今回リニューアルしなかった「海峡レトロ通り」は大正レトロな当時の町の情景が再現された実物大ジオラマ風の空間が、訪れた人を古き良き時代にいざないます。
こちらを見学すると、同じ日本の港町でも小樽・函館・横浜・神戸・長崎とは一線を画する門司港の特徴（イマイチ一流の観光地になりえない真因*）が理解できると思います。
というわけで、当宿「灯火」が海外からの観光客にオススメしているのは、こちらの施設のミュージアムとしてではない少し意外な利用方法です。
あたらしくなった港町の昔からのアトラクション、是非体験しにいらしてください。

*真因とは：キーワードは「欧米文化」。門司港が一番「欧米だった」時代は、戦後のＧＨＱ統治下だったようで、そのあたりが他の一流観光地化している港町とは違うようです。自称、大正時代の「日本三大貿易港」も、他の二つには大きく水をあけられているのが現状です。
