Special Day

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

The guests are increasing, who stay at this guesthouse on their special day.

What is special day?

For example, their birthday, Christmas, Valentine’s day, some kind of anniversary day for the guest, and so on.

We had such guests in the previous weekend.

When I was their age, lodging facility like The Hotel New Grand, The Hotel Yokohama and similar hotels were popular for such purpose.

Now we are proud of ourselves, because this guesthouse is also being used for similar purpose.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。

特別な日を当宿で過ごすゲストさんが増えています。

特別な日とは、、、

例えば、誕生日、クリスマス、バレンタイン、なにかの記念日。

先の週末にもいらっしゃいました。

自分が彼らの歳の頃には、そういう日に滞在する場所は、

ホテルニューグランド、ザ・ホテル横浜、などが人気でしたが、、、

当宿もそうした使われ方をしていることに、どこか誇らしい気分になってしまいます。

坂の上にも三年！/ Three years ago today!

Three years ago today!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Just three years ago today, a little guesthouse was opened under a little lighthouse stand on the steep hill.

I met this building in the new year holiday of the year, it was re-installed as a guesthouse with 6 months speed preparation. And it was opened in the month of June as my original schedule.

Because TOUKA was opened on TAIAN day ( = the most lucky day of the Japanese calendar ), we have had both guests and repeater guests little by little but steadily. (It has been amazing most repeater guests are from foreign countries.) It is now very fun place for our guests and us.

It was the topic with guests today again that it is unbelievable thing that all of our guest is wonderful people as well as they are precious guests climbing up such a steep road to stay here.

I decide myself again to make this guesthouse more and more happy and beloved place.

坂の上にも三年！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

ちょうど三年前の今日、ちいさいゲストハウス「灯火」は急な坂の上に立つちいさい灯台の下で産声をあげました。

その年のお正月に建物に出会ってから、6ヶ月のスピード準備で開店まで漕ぎつけ、予定していた6月中に開店することができました。

大安の日の開店にこだわったのが良かったのか、毎年少しづつ着々とゲストもリピーター（なんと海外からのリピーターですよ！）も増えて、とっても楽しい空間になりました。

昨晩もゲストとの話題にのぼりましたが、こんな何もない急な坂の上にゲストがきてくれるだけでもありがたいのに、来てくれるゲストがみんな素敵な人ばかりなのが本当に驚きです。

これからもずっと細く長く愛される宿になれるように頑張ろうと、あらためて決心したところです。

A Little, Long and Happy!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

It was heavy thunder storm last night and weather is not good now.
However it is wonderful morning for us.

It was today just 2 years ago, we opened this guesthouse TOUKA.

It has been fun 2 years with kind supporters and good guests.

In this guesthouse, there are many footprints of our guests from all over the world.
They are all wonderful memories for us.

We really think that we want to keep welcoming guests to be loved a little and long.
And we want to be happy together.

We are now preparing a little event to celebrate our 2nd Anniversary.

According to weekly forecast, it has been not good but latest forecast is showing better weather. We feel like a little light referring to the dark clouds. (Because we are TOUKA.)

細〜く、長〜く、そして楽しく！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

深夜からの雷雨で空模様はイマイチの朝ですが、とっても気分のいい朝です。

今からちょうど二年前、大安の日「灯火」はオープンしました。

支援していただいている皆さんや、素敵なゲストに利用してもらい二年が経ちました。

施設内には世界中からいらっしゃったゲストの足跡が残っています。
ゲストとの楽しい思い出がいっぱいです。

これからも細く、長く、でもとても楽しく「おもてなし」していきたい、そうあらためて感じています。

さて、日曜には二周年のささやかなイベントを準備中です。

週間予報で見ていてお天気が心配されていましたが、次第に都合の良い予報になってきて、日曜だけ暗雲に光がさす思いです（灯火だけに）。
