Unfortunate mismatch!
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
In this country, Japan, central/local government always focus on only shopping plastic bag, when they think about illuminating drifted wastes.
However, the wastes I keep seeing on the shore are mainly plastic bottle and container for drink, food and chemicals like detergent.
Micro plastics I saw on the beach are pieces of those plastic product, not shopping plastic bags.
Targets should be banned or reduced are not plastic bags but plastic containers. I wonder why they focus only on plastic bags. Some kind of weird power may be working.
By the way, mismatch is not only cause and measure of plastic waste.
What we want to welcome from overseas countries is not wastes, but civil exchange and tourists. It is obvious recently that number of tourists from the countries, we have been working together for long time, such as Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea, are declining. The reason of declining is different and depends on the country. But TOUKA wants guests back from those countries and hosts them constantly.

哀しいミスマッチ！
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
この国、日本では漂着プラスチックゴミの対策として、いつもやり玉に挙がるのが「レジ袋」です。
でもどうでしょう、実際に漂着しているゴミはレジ袋などよりも圧倒的に多いのがプラスチック製容器です。
波に打たれて細かく砕かれたマイクロプラスチックもみるからにレジ袋の残骸ではなさそうです。
使用禁止もしくは減量するべきは、ペットボトルや洗剤、食品等の容器だというのが私見です。なぜレジ袋ばかりが悪者になるのか不思議でなりません。ここでもまた誰かに忖度しているのでしょうか？
ところで、海を渡るミスマッチはゴミの原因と対策だけではありません。
日本が本当にやって来てほしいのはゴミではなく、民間レベルの交流・旅行客です。最近の情勢を見ると日本にとって大切な隣国であり、長い間連携して発展してきた香港・台湾・韓国からの観光客の激減が顕著です。理由はそれぞれ異なりますが、当宿「灯火」としては、開業以来繰り返し利用してくれたゲストの多いそうした国々からのゲストがまた増えてくれることを願ってやみません。

P.S. そういえば最近大流行の「タピオカドリンク」、容器は１００％プラスティックなので、今回の流行分確実にプラスティック・ゴミ増えてますよね。
