My favorite Japanese lighthouses

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

As we are working under a lighthouse and with it all the time,

I am always curious about lighthouses of the area where I visit.

My favorite type of lighthouse is that blends in with the landscape and be with local people and their activity.

Lately not a few lighthouses are broken down because of advancing GPS technology. However we hope those beautiful lighthouses will stay forever.

灯台考

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

灯台下の宿で、いつも灯台とともにいると、、、

出かけていても、その土地の灯台に目が留まります。

自分が好きなのは、風景に溶け込み・その土地の人たちとともにある灯台です。

GPSが発達した今、各地の灯台はどんどん撤去されているそうですが、こんな灯台はずっと残って欲しいですね。

心地よい空間！/ One comfortable space!

One comfortable space!

Good morning to the World, Hyuga and Kanmon!

I went to Miyazaki pref. on my vacation.

It was not a traveling, but I tried to visit various hot spots for my study to create comfortable space. The building was renovated to a wonderful place.

The most impressive facility locates by the beach and it used to be a old fashioned Showa style drive-in.

They seems to sell local fresh products and souvenirs but not like ordinal Japanese local one. They combines several factors such as gelato stand, big franchise coffee shop very well and so on and create comfortable space with one concept.

This is not a topic about this local town, Moji. But we hope that new commercial facility which is planned to be opened at east pier of Mojiko will be like this facility. With that purpose, we report this article.

At the facility, not only young people but also local elder people dress up casually/naturally and are visiting the place and that game me good impression very much. We believe that people in charge to establish new facility in Mojiko should visit this place.

心地よい空間！

世界中に朝が、日向に、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

お休みを利用して行ってきた宮崎。

旅行というわけではありませんでしたが、勉強も兼ねてついでに話題のスポットを訪問してみました。

以前は昭和の香りがするドライブインでしたが、なんとも素敵で快適な施設が出来ていました。

その土地の特産品やお土産なども扱っているようですが、従来型の「お土産センターとも道の駅とも違う雰囲気です。ジェラートや、全国フランチャイズのカフェなども実にうまい具合に統一したコンセプトで融合し、まとまっている心地よい空間です。

この町の施設の話題ではありませんが、来年の夏にオープンすることになっている門司港東海岸の商業施設もこんな風に心地よい場所になってもらいたいという期待を込めてレポートします。

地元の年配の女性たちもお洒落して利用している姿はとても良い印象を受けました。門司港の商業施設開発に関わる人は視察に行くべきでしょうね。

にっぽんは島国ですっ！/ Japan is the Beautiful Island Country!

Japan is the Beautiful Island Country!

Good morning to the World, all over Japan and Kanmon!

In two weeks, I’ve driven and visited various highway service areas all over Japan but it was not the main purpose of my trip. Up to two years ago, I had visited Japanese old castles but now I am steering the handle, being grateful to this island country.

The coast line surrounding this islands have various face at each place.

They all had beautiful waves at Tosa(Kochi), Suruga(Shizuoka) and Hyuga(Miyazaki).

waves09Specially waves in the moonlight was really fantastic.

It is amazing thing that I am practicing a traveling style, which I had dreamed with listening Beach Boys and Yuming (Japanese legendary singer-songwriter), at the age around 50. I hope that I will have a chance to introduce such travel style to our guests.

にっぽんは島国ですっ！

世界中に朝が、にっぽん中に、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

この二週間、いろんなSA/PAを利用しましたが、本当の目的はSA/PAではありません。一昨年まではお城巡りをしながら下道で東京まで行き来したりもしましたが、今ではにっぽんが島国であることを感謝しながらハンドルを握ります。

この島をぐるっと包む海岸線は、その場所場所でいろいろな顔をしています。

土佐、駿河、日向、どれも素敵な波でした。

なかでも月明かりに浮かぶ土佐の波はとても幻想的でした。

学生時代に憧れたユーミンやビーチ・ボーイズの歌のような旅を、この歳になってようやく実現できていることがなんかうれしくて仕方ありません。いつかこんなスタイルのにっぽんの旅をゲストにも紹介したいですね。
