Castle town has more risks!
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
TOUKA wants to get knowledge about possible risks around our guests and us as much as we can.
Of course, we checked along the flow line of typical tourists, including downtown, Kokura.
After we checked throughout downtown, central area around castle has more risks.
Not only the riverside market, damaged often by water hazard, our local government sets quite wider area as in the flood damage area.
The area almost matches the location inner natural moat, structured by Murasaki river, Itabitsu river, Kantake river and Sunatsu river. And the whole area is expected to be submerged.
If our guests will walk around Kokura station, Uemachi and Tanga area, it is very hard to find the land with high elevation. So we hope that we will be able to advice them to escape into high buildings, such as station building or department stores. Hopefully we want them evacuate to Katsuyama park which surrounds Kokura castle, because it is near city office and less trouble to get emergent material/food supply.
In any case, it is very hard to go back to this guesthouse. We think that it is the best idea to stay under the generous care of city officers with gentle heart and international sense.

ご城下が危ない！
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
考えられる災害リスクについては、基本全て把握しておきたいと考えている当宿「灯火」。
もちろん繁華街も含めたゲストの動線はチェックしてみました。
見て分かったのは、市内一番の繁華街の方がヤバいということ。
たびたび浸水に見舞われる市場はもちろんのこと、自治体が想定する浸水域はずっと広範囲に及びます。
かつて小倉城の天然のお堀といわれていた紫川、板櫃川、神嶽川、砂津川、とその流域は全て水没する想定です。
ゲストが駅周辺、魚町、旦過にいる場合、水を避けることのできるエリアは遠く、駅の商業ビルか、デパートに、願わくばお城を取り囲む勝山公園に避難するようにアドバイスできれば、そこにある市役所からの物資には心配することはないだろうと考えました。
いずれにせよ当宿とのアクセスは不可能になるので、災害が収まるまでは親切で、国際感覚に富んだ自治体職員のお世話になるのが一番でしょう。
