Daughter’s Generation, Grand-Daughter’s Generation
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
End of my stay in Tokyo, December 2017.
The food to conclude my stay was early “TOSHIKOSHI SOBA*”.

year )
As our house in Tokyo locates in the town famous for Soba making, we visited favorite Soba restaurant where my daughter worked as part-time job in her high school time.
Even we are living apart from each other, I’ve tried to function myself as the last safety net for my daughter. Also I am making effort to communicate with my grand-daughter through serious babysitting at most wanted timing. Because I now understand that these experiences do work for my current job as a guesthouse host.
Now, majority of TOUKA’s guests are those in their twenties or thirties. My daughter’s age is just in middle of their standard deviation. Of course, quite more girls than boys. As a single father who grew one daughter in earnest, our guests are group of people, I’ve been accustomed with to talk various serious topics (education, job, family, boy-friend, love, marriage, having baby, etc).
However, teenagers start using TOUKA lately. Our guests are getting younger and younger.
So, my grand-daughter will work for me to broad my mind with keeping natural but serious relationship with her.
Let me focus on making a relaxing guesthouse as grandpa’s house!
(OK! Age of my grand-daughter match this perfectly, don’t it?)

P.S. Not like a spouse, I am recognizing that family who is led by the blood is pretty different from those who is not. Even we seems to be making quarrel on the surface, but we are connecting each other by invisible lead.

娘世代、孫娘世代、、、
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
2017年12月の東京。
東京を発つ日、〆は一足早い「年越しそば」。
元々都内でもお蕎麦で有名な町に住んでいるので、娘が高校時代にバイトしていた行きつけ・お気に入りのお店へみんなで一緒に。
離れて生活していても、娘にとっての最後のセーフティーネットとして機能しながら、孫娘とも一番必要とされる時にガチンコの子守りで触れ合うことで今やマブダチ(?)。この心掛けこそが今の仕事に活かされることが分かってきました。
現在「灯火」を利用していただいているゲストさん達は20代〜30代が中心。娘の歳は標準偏差のど真ん中！もちろん女子率高いです。娘とガチンコで付き合ってきたシングルファーザーにはのぞむところの世代です。
ところが最近では10代のひとり旅のゲストもチラホラと。ドンドンと若年化しています。
そ・こ・で、孫娘とも真剣に付き合っていくことで、自分自身の懐（守備範囲）を拡げることができる。
目指せ！25年後には「おじいちゃんち」のように寛げる宿。
（ほぅら、孫娘の歳がドンピシャでしょ！）

P.S. 表面的には喧嘩して口を利かないことはあっても、どこか必ず通じているし、配偶者とは異なり、やっぱり血の繋がった家族は最高だなと実感しました。
