Though this used to be a terrible town
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
For this week, the sky above this town has been hazy and the peak of mountain also has dimmed.
However it is not because of air pollution like 50years ago. The haze was created by yellow dust from the continent.
This town, Kitakyushu, used be counted as one of the biggest industrial area in Japan and blamed for its air pollution and water pollution.
But now, the night view from the mountain is reputed very much as one of the most beautiful one in this country.

It started rain in such town yesterday. We are hoping that the rain will washed out not only yellow dusts but also pollens for the tourists who are planning to visit this town during this weekend.
Don’t you come here to enjoy sightseeing, driving and so on?

P.S. About another bad reputation, called as “the land of demons/Yakuza”, we are not sure that the sketchy condition has been really improved or not. But it is sure that this town is good place with unusually many elderly people

昔はヒドいとこだったけど、、、
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。 おはようございます。
今週、この町はずっとぼんやり霞んでしまい、山も白けて見えていました。
でも昔のように、大気汚染のせいではありませんよ。もちろん今週の霞は大陸からの黄砂によるものでした。
かつてはこの国有数の工業地帯として、大気汚染や水質汚染をずいぶん叩かれた土地ではありますが、
今ではその山から眺める夜景は国内指折りの美しさと褒め称えられるほどになったんです。

そんなこの町に昨日降り出した雨、、、黄砂も花粉も全て洗い流し、この週末訪れる観光客に備えて、さらに澄み切った空を取り戻してほしいですね。

P.S. かつては、そのヒドさを「修羅の国」とまで喩えられた、ヤクザによるこの町の治安の悪さについては、本当に払拭されたどうかは分かりませんが、、、今はお年寄りが異様に多い良い町ですよ。
