It’s been warm since last week and into the weekend, hasn’t it?

News said that a sea opening was held in Okinawa.

Here in the Kanmon area, the weather has become comfortable and we don’t need jackets.

One day, a guest, as the words suggests, brought here summer “one step ahead of time.”

We have never thought that we got known when the seasons change by what our guests are wearing.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。おはようございます。

先週から週末にかけて、暖かくなりましたね。

沖縄では海開きが行われたとのこと。

ここ関門エリアも上着の要らない過ごしやすい気候になりました。

そんなある日、ゲストがその名の如く「一足先に」夏を連れてきてくれました。

Important Gear to travel/live in Kanmon!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Since the beginning of spring this year, there has been severe changes in temperature in Japan.

More warm days than cold days and summer shorts are necessary for us in TOUKA.

Foot gear must be:

Yes, flip-flops!*
(*They are called as beach sandals in Japan.)

It is very convenient for us to wear flip-flops when we cleaning guesthouse and drying our futons for the next guests.

Yes, this is our COOL BIZ in TOUKA.
I keep wearing them as our formal setting, even when I first welcome our guests for check-in.

But you had better not to wear cheap sandals.
This flip-flops cost more than leather shoes which young business men.

In the coming season, flip-flops may be good for our guests who walk around sightseeing spots, such as seaside Mojiko and Shimonoseki.

We want our guests to bring their favorite flip-flops in their luggages.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

日本ではこの春から気温の乱高下が続いています。

どちらかといえば、気温の高い日の方が多くて、灯火ではすでに半ズボンが欠かせません。

では、足元は、、、

やっぱりビーチサンダル、ビーサンです。

ゲストが出かけている間に、掃除や布団干しで屋内外を行ったり来たりするので、手軽に脱ぎ履きできるビーサンが重宝です。

そう、コレが「灯火」のクールビズ！
ゲストを迎える時にも必ず着用している正装です。

でも、安物のビーサンはいけません。
コレでもその辺の若いサラリーマンが履いている革靴よりはすると思います。

ゲストがメインの観光地となる門司港や下関を歩きまわるのも、これからのシーズンはビーサンが一番適しているかもしれません。

「灯火」をご利用される皆さんには、是非、荷物にお気に入りのビーサンを忍ばせていらしてほしいですね
