Mickey Mouse is Coming to Town!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

This weekend, Disney will hold a event in this town to celebrate Tokyo Disneyland 35th anniversary. It will be a corroboration with local “Moji Port Festival”. Of course, Mickey, Minnie and other famous character seems to join the parade.

It will be the first big event in this local town.
Minato Matsuri ( = port festival ) is our traditional event, but it is out of fashion now. So Disney’s attendance to the festival must make people excited on the day of parade.

My granddaughter also love the dream character, Mickey and Minnie.
We hope kids in my home town will enjoy the event very much.
( Disney’s parade will be held on May 27, Sunday.)

ミッキーが町にやってくる！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

今週末、東京ディズニーランドの開園35周年を記念して、ミッキーマウスなどディズニーキャラクターのパレード隊が、わが町の「みなとまつり」でパレードをするそうです。

田舎町では初めてのビックイベントです。
伝統とはいえ、少々廃れた感のある「みなとまつり」が久々に沸きそうです。

ミッキー・ミニーといえば、孫娘も大好きな夢のキャラクター。
この町の子供たちを魅了する一日*になると良いですね。
（*ディズニーのパレードは5月27日に行われるそうです。）

We gonna Change!

Exciting news was released!

New development was started in our hometown sightseeing area.
This plan will change the view of waterfront of Mojiko.

However there are minor worries.

At first, about Spa Facilities. Is it really needed by the visitors?
When we talked with our guests about existing spa facilities in the area next to Mojiko, female guests concern about make-up after spa. Except girls, female tourists are care very much about it. They must have hard time how to schedule their plan with visiting spa. We guess that it is not real ONSEN and believes that price setting is very important.

Second, they don’t need too much care about “Local Production”. Too much concern create too less interest for the visitors. As Tokyo Haneda Airport treats good chocolates from Hokkaido, they should have broad mind, such as representing Kyushu and Yamaguchi with best and fine materials/souvenirs.

Anyway, they are the only one group who proposed their plan. We hope the facility will be better and better toward its completion.

Generally speaking, it may the big criteria of success, whether the coffee shop will open in the facility or not. Because there is NO famous coffee franchise shop in my hometown.

変わります！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

耳寄りなニュースが発表されました。

我が郷土の観光エリアが強化されるようです。
これにより水辺の景観が一新されそうですね。

ただ気になる点も少しだけ、、、

まずは「温浴施設」について、本当に求められているのか？
ゲストに隣のエリアに既にある「温浴施設」を勧めることがあるのですが、特に女性が気にするのが入浴後のメーキャップ。若い子はともかく、少し年齢が上がると「すっぴん」にかなり抵抗があるようです。観光のどのタイミングで「入浴」を組み込むかがなかなか難しそうです。九州にあって温泉ではないだろうし、全ては価格設定だと思います。

次に「地産地消」。既存のお土産スポットのように、あまり地元にこだわりすぎると、訪れる人には魅力のない施設になりそうで、、、羽田空港が北海道のチョコレートを扱うように、九州・山口を代表する「銘品」を紹介するぐらいの懐の広さが欲しいですね。

とにかく、公募に対して応募された貴重な一社。プランが実現するまでにこの提案がより魅力的なものになると良いですね。

一般目線では、かのカフェチェーンが出店するかどうか、、、検討会メンバーの目より、その出店基準をクリアするかどうかが、全国チェーンのカフェのない地元にとって大きな意味での成功可否を握るような気がしないでもないです。

Controlled by Calendar? or Work?!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

I talked about artificial thing on the article several days ago.

Artificial thing:

There is very artificial thing which control our daily life strongly.

It is “Calendar”. You may be able to understand easier with the word “day of a week”.

From the natural point of view, there is no difference between Sunday and Monday.

However, many people are excited on Sunday and feel blue on Monday.
(even if it is super fine Monday with full of sunshine.)

Everyone believes that it is common sense but I have felt funny about this phenomenon recently.

By the way, in TOUKA, there is no difference between Sunday and Monday.

We are excited on the day our guests will come and also excited on the day no guest stay.

Because we try to be with nature and family on the day without guests.

There is no concept of calendar and it is more like an idea “Cultivating the land in fine days and Reading a book on rainy days at home”.

縛られてない？ 雨の日も 晴れの日も

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

先日、人工的なものについての考え方を記事にしました。

人工的なものといえば、、、
人工的でありながら、私達の人生や日々の生活を強く縛り付けているものがあります。

「暦」です。「曜日」と云う方がわかりやすいかもしれません。

自然的な視点からみると、日曜と月曜との間には「違い」は全然ありません。

それなのに、日曜はウキウキ、月曜は鬱々、、、

誰もが当たり前だと考えているそのことを、なんかとっても「おかしなこと」に感じてしまう今日この頃です。

ところで、「灯火」では日曜と月曜と間に差はありません。
ゲストがいる日はウキウキ、ゲストの無い日もウキウキです。

なぜなら、ゲストのいる日は楽しくおもてなし、ゲストのいない日はどっぷりと自然や家族とふれあう日だからです。

そこには曜日の概念はなく、「晴耕雨読」な生活なんです。
野生の動物と同じかもしれません。

それでは、せめて嵐の日*には仕事をしない素敵な一日を！
