It means that we are the worst, doesn’t it?

Let me talk about WHO report I mentioned in the article a few days ago.
I found that there is another important information about number of deaths. It says that worst is U.S. and second worst is Japan.
But it tells only about the number. As U.S. has 3 times bigger population than Japan, so that ranking is not fair. Death rate due to COVID-19 infection is also worst in Japan.
Both number of infected people and number of death are important barometer to evaluate the performance of each countries’ infection control. So WHO is highlighting both in their report. I understand that WHO is evaluating Japan as the worst country in infection control now.
Who among current cabinet ministers concern the report? Though bureaucrats in charge must concern about it. I wonder if it is the time for them take summer vacation to play golf with family.
Recent news about number of infected people in Japan seems to hit a record high again in this week. So we can easily imagine WHO will give us worst title for a while.
We cannot estimate the time when tourists from foreign countries will be able to travel Japan with peace of mind.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
過日、記事で取り上げた世界保健機関のレポート。
よく読むと死者数の項目も、、、アメリカが１位で日本が２位。
でもこれって単純に人数なので、人口３倍のアメリカとそのまま比較するのはフェアでなくて、率で比較し直すと、新型コロナウイルスによる死亡者も日本が最悪の状況だということが分かります。
感染者数も死亡者数も国の感染対策を表すバロメーターだから、WHOもレポートの概要説明のなかで取り上げているわけで、、、感染対策も医療福祉状況も最悪だぞって採点されている状況だと自分は認識します。
日本の官僚はともかく、閣僚の中で、この通信簿の成績を気にしている人がいるのか疑問です。休暇をとって家族とゴルフしている場合なのかな？
テレビで報道されている感染者数も、今週になってまた過去最多という日もあったみたいで、しばらく世界最悪の評価は続きそうです。
日本に海外からの観光客が安心してこれるようになるのはいつのことやら？
