Another wonderful healing spot coming soon!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

We have a nice BGM for every relaxing morning in TOUKA. The player is local music duo “wind rumor” Last week our CD stock run out, as many guests who become fun of “wind rumor” bought their CD from us.

We contacted wind rumor to fill our stock and they recommend me to visit their new music base. So I visited their brand-new “wind rumor house”.

They just got inspection by city healthcare dept. and are ready to open house now. The “wind rumor house” is in wonderful natural environment, and I take shots of their cool atmosphere with our new gear.

Their location is in the woods, even local people in this town never visited. It is real hideaway with healing air. “wind rumor” will stay there and create new comfortable sounds between touring everywhere in Japan. The “wind rumor house” is surrounded by smooth wind as our TOUKA. I recommend exhausted city people to be healed in nature, art, coffee aroma and comfortable music of “wind rumor”.

Between ourselves, there are wonderful places are increasing in the area of this town, where is not popular tourist sites.

素敵なヒーリング・スポットがまたひとつ！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

「灯火」でのくつろぎの朝を演出してくれるBGM。プレーヤーは地元の音楽デュオwind rumorさん。彼らの音楽を気に入ってくれたゲストさんたちが立て続けにCDを購入してくれたおかげで、「灯火」で持っていたストックが売り切れになってしまいました。

wind rumorさんにCDの補充をお願いしたところ、新しく活動の拠点をまもなくオープンするということなので、CDをいただきがてら、その拠点“wind rumor house”を訪問してきました。

ちょうど保健所の開業前立入検査を終えたところで、とっても良い雰囲気に仕上がっていたので、新兵器でその素敵な雰囲気を切り取ってきました。

地元の人でもなかなか行かない隠れ家的なヒーリング・スポット。ここでのんびり音楽カフェを展開するそうです。wind rumor houseを包み込むように当宿「灯火」にも通じる「いい風」が吹いていて、都会の喧騒で疲れた人にはぜひ、自然・アート・コーヒーと音楽とに心洗われて欲しいです。

Guesthouse to heal yourself!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

I’ve noticed, when I looked back guests’ record.

We have not get certain type of guests who may be seen recent style guesthouse since we started TOUKA.

The type of people is neither certain nationality,
nor color of skin.

They are “Party People”!
(From my experience, there seems to be party type owner and staff in some guesthouse and people spend exciting time every night.)

Party people are not bad, but guests using TOUKA are polite and have high level communication skill and strong interest about Japan.

No matter age, gender, race.

We’ve found out after talking with them a while, there are some guests who decided to visit here around turning point of their life.

And they enjoy relaxed here and check-out with big smile.

In the night, they enjoy looking down the light of running big boat.
In the morning, they are waked up by horn from ships.

This place may have power to heal the exhausted people and hurt mind.

There may be something important for them at the point where two lighthouses beam their light.

P.S. As a lighthouse keeper which stands at the difficult stage of their life, I cannot help praying for their happy future.

旅人も癒やす町宿！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

これまでの宿帳をめくっていて気づいたのですが、、、

「灯火」には、最近のゲストハウスで見かけるある人種がほとんど来ません。

その人種とは、、、国籍でも、肌の色でもなく、、、

パーリーピーポー！
（自分の体験から、オーナーやスタッフがパーリーピーポーで夜な夜な盛り上がる宿もあるようです。）

パーリーピーポーも決して悪くないのですが、ウチに来てくれるゲストの大半は、とても礼儀正しくて、コミュニケーションスキルが高く、日本に対する感心もとても高い、そんな人たちです。

年齢はあまり関係ないようです。

話してみると分かるのですが、結構人生の転機を前後にして訪れるゲストが少なくありません。

そしてここでのひとときをリラックスして過ごし、笑顔で帰っていかれる。

夜は、滑るように海峡を進む船の灯りをぼんやりと眺めたり、
朝は、汽笛の音を目覚まし代わりに目が覚めたり、、、

ここは疲れた人や心が傷ついた人を癒やし、元気にする町として機能しているようです。

二本の灯台が照らす先には、ゲストにとって大切なものが示されているのかもしれません。

ウチも危ない？ ドンドン壊されてる！/ Will it be destroyed too!?

Will it be destroyed too!?

Those in the know, know that the landmark of TOUKA is the lighthouse.

I saw a TV program which reported about Lighthouse. According to them, many lighthouses in Japan are broken every year. It is because people is using high accuracy GPS and Electric Navigating Equipments.

A lighthouse was broken in the program and it was built close year as our lighthouse. So we worried about the risk our lighthouse will be broken. However it seems that our lighthouse is OK, as Kanmon strait is very important route and very difficult path for ocean traffics.

Another topic in that TV program was “TODAI-JOSHI (lighthouse girls)”. It means group of girls who are enthusiasts of Lighthouses. They see lighthouses as tough and reliable partner who is the ideal for them.

They hold meeting and tour named “TODAI-JOSHIKAI” constantly.

We want them to hold “TODAI-JOSHIKAI” at here TOUKA someday.
Because it is very relaxing to look up our lighthouse, lying on the TATAMI mat in our guest room. In the night, the mellow light from the lighthouse will heal them.

In addition to above, it is quite exciting to watch big ships coming toward our lighthouse.

ウチのも危ない？ ドンドン壊されてるぅ！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

知っている人は知っている。
「灯火」のランドマークは「灯台」。

テレビでやってました。
日本国中で年々けっこうな数の灯台が取り壊されているらしいです。

GPSや航海用計器の精度アップにより、灯台の利用価値が低くなっていることが一番の理由だそうです。

番組の中で壊された灯台と同じ頃に建てられたウチの灯台は大丈夫？って心配になりましたが、どうも関門海峡は大丈夫そうです。だって「海上交通の要所・難所」ですから。

同時にその番組で話題になっていたのが「灯台女子」！
灯台に萌える女性たちのことらしいです。
悪天候でも常にじっと働く灯台に、たくましく、いつも温かく見守ってくれる理想の男性像をみるようです。

「灯台女子会」なる会合もあるらしいです。

是非、当宿「灯火」でも「灯台女子会」やってほしいですね。
畳の上に大の字に寝転がって見る灯台、そして夜は布団の中でその灯りを見ながら眠りにつく、心から癒やされるはずです。

また、大型船が全てこの灯台に向かってくるのを正面から見るのも壮観です。
