Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
The strait we look down from this guesthouse is always busy with many ships and busy in the weekend with anglers.
Commercial fishing is also operated in this strait.
Not only blowfish fishing I mentioned in the article several days ago, we see many floating marks of octopus jars set close to the pier we often visit during evening walk.
(Octopuses from the strait with strong current is known for the good taste to those in the know.)
It may be difficult to imagine correctly because of general image as industrial area and recent topic about 2nd wave of COVID-19. But here is very good place to live surrounded by rich sea and mountains.

とってもリッチ！
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
宿（ココ）から眼下に見下ろす海峡は、貨物船が行き交い、週末になると釣り人で賑わうスポットですが、、、
商業的な漁業も行われている海です。
数日前に記事にしたフグの漁場だけでなく、よく行く岸壁の少し沖合には、いくつものタコつぼが仕掛けられていたりします。
（流れの早いこの海峡で採れるタコは知る人ぞ知る銘産品です。）
以前からの工業地帯としてのイメージと、最近注目されている話題からは想像しづらいかもしれませんが、実際は豊かな海と山とに囲まれた住みよい町です。
