Somewhere over the Red Bridge!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

As our guests check out very early to catch early plane, I wake up before 6AM and sent them off. After their check out, one idea came up my mind and left here,

For the bridge.

wakato01

It is my first ride in this year.

wakato02

This pretty red big bridge was build 2 years before former Tokyo Olympic Game like other buildings/structures. This huge iron suspension bridge was the first in Japan and the biggest in Eastern counties that time.

wakato03

According to the local government, the toll will be free at the end of this year. So this can be precious experience for me to pay to cross this bridge.

But current fee, 50JPY for motorcycles and Japanese K-car is not so expensive. And the toll may be working to filter the driver to prevent traffic jam.

Somewhere over the red bridge, there are different world, and it is not like same town.

It was my first ride but I will use this bridge more than last year.

Don’t you try to cross this pretty red bridge?

Thank you and you have a nice day, approaching somewhere over the bridge,
skies are blue and the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true.

The Girl’s Month will start soon!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

On this account, we have been promoting Oyster Festival held in Feb.4.

In addition, Feb 4 is “RISSHUN (the beginning of spring)” in 12 terms of Chinese/Japanese Season.

According to Japanese custom, we can decorate HINA dolls starting RISSHUN.
It means it is the girls month, Feb.4 – Mar.3 (HINA-MATSURI).
During this period, we pray for girls fortune with displaying beautiful dolls.

HINA-MATSURI (girl’s festival) will be celebrated in this town too.
Style of celebration is a little sober but we like it.
As not so many tourists in this event, compare with other sightseeing spot and HINA event, we want to recommend it to our guests. Because their dolls in display are very good, historical, precious.

hina22

With Retro Japanese dolls in Retro Town, we can feel to trip back to 100 years ago.

Hina Dolls in Mojiko is historically precious and worth to see and we really want our guests to watch them. Don’t you experience the trip not only spatially but also temporally?

Thank you and you have one cool day of thinking about girls Happy Future.

Since the famous old SAMURAI drama?!

Since the famous old SAMURAI drama?!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

On warm Monday after cold days, I watched TV without any car e. And the scene on the monitor made me surprise.

hiru-oyster01

hiru-oyster02

hiru-oyster03

It was the place I know.
(As my relative lives there, I noticed that.)

The program introduced speciality of this town, large size oyster with shell, TOUKA have recommended these days.

HIRU-BURA by NHK, Japan

But I was so bummed out that they didn’t introduce “raw” oyster, which I think the best. Raw oyster may be TABOO officially.

However I got precious information which I didn’t know.

hiru-oyster04

About 70% of their harvest is consumed at local direct sale stand or BBQ shed. It means that it is hard to taste the oyster outside or this town.

oysterbar01

At the end of program, Oyster Festival in next month was also introduced.

hiru-oyster05

Please try the taste of Kitakyushu at the event.

I remember that I had not seen the name of fisherman’s town on a national network TV since I saw it in an old SAMURAI drama, using it as a village of Japanse pirates.

Thank you and you have a seasonal nice day, specially for this region.
