Recommended places to visit in current Japan (5) w/ a condition
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
On the way back from Tokyo to Kitakyushu, I could arrive at Atsumi Peninsula but wondered which direction/route I should to.
I drive to the tip of the peninsula and checked typhoon swell surf spots, local surfer taught me for my future challenge. And I wondered whether I board on the ferry boat to Toba or not.
As a result, I chose the route “KIRIN ga kuru (on air Japanese historical TV drama)”.
– GIFU -jou (castle) also called as Inabayama -jou :
– Azuchi -jou ruins
– Honnou -ji (temple) ruins:
( As it was midnight, photo was not clear without lights.)
– Kameyama -jou ruins:
( Properties of a new religion / closed due to COVID-19 )
– Fukuchiyama -jou:
( Closed due to COVID-19 )
(As a bonus, Hikone -jou: I have visited last year but I lost way this time and drove along the moat of castle and took this photo.)
I made another mistake that I visited castles during 3day holidays, although I usually visit on weekday. But this time, like this!
Fortunately, most of tourist go up to mountain castle by the ropeway. So visitor like me who climb up the mountain can get a benefit of looking around the castle tower with less people by staggering time from ropeway arrival. This is recommended method to visit Gifu -jou in these days.
I didn’t see any tourists from foreign countries but pretty many Japanese visited those castles. The smartest way to visited Akechi Mitsuhide’s related castles is not to visit during weekend and holidays.

人との接触を避けて過ごす休暇のすゝめ （その５）条件付きで
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
東京から、北九州に向かう陸路、愛知は渥美半島までたどり着いたものの、さてそこからどうしようと思案することになりました。
まず半島の先端まで行って、将来のためにローカルサーファーから聞いた台風の時に凄いことになるというスポットを下見した後、鳥羽行きのフェリーに乗るかどうか悩みます。
結論として選んだルートは「麒麟が来る」ルート！
・岐阜城（稲葉山城）：

・本能寺跡（深夜に暗い中、車で付けただけなので、ピンぼけです。笑）：
・亀山城址（新興宗教の私有地：コロナのため城跡・石垣等見学不可）：
・福知山城（コロナのため天守閣内部は見学不可）：
＊ついでにおまけ、、、前回「おんな城主」ルートで一度訪ねたのでスルーするはずだったのに、ナビを見誤り、まちがってお堀の横を通り過ぎたため、車から撮った彦根城。
犯した間違いはもう一つ。いつもであれば城巡りは平日なのに、今回ちょっと連休にかぶってしまったら、この始末！
不幸中の幸いはロープウェイで山城に登る人が大半のようで、自分のように歩いてのぼる人は少数派だったこと。自分の足で山城まで登れば、ロープウェイの到着にずらして見て回れば、連休中であっても、さして「密集・密接」することなく見学できることが分かりました。このご時世オススメのプランです。
さすがに外国人観光客はほとんど見かけないなか、岐阜城と福知山城は日本人主体で結構な人手でした。明智光秀ゆかりのお城はこの時期（とくに週末・休日）は避けるのが懸命のようです。
それでは、名君の叡智を見習い人の動きを読み取って素敵な一日を！
（それにしても、自分も含めて日本人のいい大人（シニア）はどうして自分よりはるかに若くして死んだ歴史上の人物を慕うのでしょう？ その年齢でその人物の足元にも及ばない実績しか残せなかったのに、、、自分の場合、きっと高いところ・景色の良い建物が好きだというのが城巡りの動機なんでしょう。）
