Importance of human life

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

As of Aug.17 (Aug.18 Japan time), we were shocked by WHO report which tells Japan as the country of the worst COVID-19 infection four times in a raw.

It seems that there is one important thing missing in the infection control of Japan.

We found not only big number of infected people but also other incomprehensible moving numbers, when we compared map of daily infection for recent one week.

Any correlations are not seen between number of serious cases and that of deaths. It means that not a few infected people are dying without being treated as serious case lately.

According to the data above, 1,703 people were dead in one week (Aug.12-18) by COVID-19 and in other words, about 10 people in average are dying in every hour.

Number of newly infection is biased by day of the week, due to less inspection in the weekend and holidays. However number of deaths shows real situation, because death cannot avoid weekends and holidays.

In these days, our government has been panic-stricken by only one person’s death by shots. But we haven’t hear any new action they made for improving the condition of 1,700 times more deaths in one week.

Do they think that the dead don’t talk? accumulated total 36,300 people have been dead since the beginning of pandemic. It may because we are just after OBON, why we feel bunch of sufferings and regrets are straying around this country.

Because we are locating on the hight of this town, we are hearing ambulance siren from lower world so often day or night. And we are seeing news about emergency refugee and transport refugee without hospital for their patients.

命の重さ

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

17日付（日本時間では18日付）で4周目の世界最悪の感染状況がWHOからレポートされたことには少なからず衝撃を受けましたが、、、

新型コロナウイルスの感染対策について、日本ではどうもある大切なことが欠如しているようです。

ここ一週間、報道されてきた感染者数が表された地図を並べていると、その数の多さ以外にも不思議な数の動きに気付きます。

それは重傷者と死亡との間に相関関係が見られないことです。つまり今、重傷者として扱われることなく、そのまま死んでいく人が非常に多いということです。

日本国内では、一週間で1,703名（8/12-18）、毎時間平均10人づつがコロナで亡くなられているという計算になります。

検査は週末や休祝日に実施数が少なくなるため、感染者数はそのため曜日毎に偏りがありますが、人が亡くなるのは休みだからといって、延期されることはないので、かなりリアルにコロナの被害を表していると考えます。

このところ政府は奈良で射殺された１名の死亡に右往左往していますが、その1,700倍もの感染者が一週間に亡くなっいる状況に対しては、なんらアクションを起こしているような様子は聞こえてきません。

死人に口なしとでも考えているのでしょうか？ 累計で36,300人にものぼる方々がお亡くなりになり、その方々の苦しみや無念さが日本列島のあちこちで渦巻いているような気がするのは、お盆が明けたばかりだからでしょうか。

ここが高台に位置しているからでしょうか、今日も下界（？）からは昼夜問わずに救急車のサイレンが聞こえてきます。救急難民・搬送難民のニュースも聞こえてきます。
