Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

In Japan, ordering fine food from far local places have been focused in recent several years. And that trend has been getting more popular lately, because of government’s hometown tax donation program and self-quarantine led by COVID-19 pandemic.

But I personally prefer to visit the place actually, buy local speciality there and eat it fresh.

If there is an original founded shop, I do want to visit there.

Buy and eat it there can be much better memory than just order and eat it home.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

日本では数年前から地方の名産品をお取り寄せるという行為が注目されるようになり、その傾向が近年のふるさと納税や、今回のコロナ禍で一般的になっている感があります。

個人的には、やはりその土地で購入して、フレッシュなままいただきたいという思いが強いようです。

「創業店舗」なるものがあれば、是非ともそのお店で買いたくなってしまいます。

その町で買って、その町で食べたことが「良い思い出」になるような気がします。

P.S. 昨年町を訪れた際、創業店なる店舗があることを知り、とても行ってみたくなりました。店員さんに聞くと結構閉店時間前に売り切れちゃうそうです、このご時世でも。（高いのに、、、）駐車場表示の裏側がそのことを証明しています。ビジネスとして羨ましい話です。

On the last day of this trip, I visited at one of MY BEST SPOTS 2020 again.

Like TOUKA, the biggest sales point of the facility is “Strait View”. And their view from open air onsen tab is quite better than ours.

HOWEVER,

We found one posting “We are going to close this facility at the end of March” at their entrance.

I inquired their local Tourism Bureau about the facility after April and they answered me that “There is no clear plan after the closure.” I also heard that the owner of the facility is the city of Kure and it reminded me one tragedy happened in our city, Kitakyushu.

“No active plan in Kitakyushu to utilize its Onsen facility”
(Local government, Kitakyushu also close its wonderful Onsen facility without making sure the reason why.)

Because there are not a few people who are running their business putting such Onsen facility as their sightseeing point, the closure affects not only the facility itself.

今回のひとっ風呂

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

今回の旅の最終日、2020年のマイ・ベスト訪問スポットともいえる施設にリピート訪問してきました。

ところ違えど、当宿も海峡をセールスポイントにしている施設ですが、こちらの露天風呂から見下ろす海峡ビューには足元にも及びません。

今回訪問すると、こんな貼紙が掲示してありました。

ご当地県の観光連盟にも問い合わせてもらいましたが、「閉店後につきましては、現在のところ予定はございません」とのこと。施設の所有者は地方自治体ということで、わが地で起きた残念な閉館劇を思い出してしまいました。

“改善見込めず再開未定 北九州市「あじさいの湯」休業1年余”

こうした施設を観光の目玉に据えて営業をしている地元の経営者もいるので、その影響は当該施設だけに留まりません。

P.S. ちなみにこの温泉施設が立つ展望の良い山の上、日帰り温泉の前はなんと「国民宿舎」があったそうです。それもどこかで聞いたようなエピソードですね。「海峡の町あるある」かな？ いずれにせよ「閉鎖する前に一度訪れておくべきスポット」です。

The manager of TOUKA keep saving cost of travel with utilizing skill/know-how of running guesthouse all the time. However there was one big exception during the trip just before Emergency Declaration covered over Fukuoka.

This cannot happen in usual travel but there was a big reason for this.

The reason is this!

(This campaign was just started in this January.)

It seems that such benefit can be available because of area limited Emergency Declaration. With the benefit, I could enjoy the dream lunch which is UNAJU ( = Grilled Eel Rice Box), deluxe speciality of the area.

“Go To Travel” campaign for this trip was cancelled forcibly just before travel start and no benefit could be expected from “Go To”. So this coupon was very helpful. As the result of Japanese government doesn’t conduct/control local governments, various measures and infection prevention by local government are being executed with different timing and contents. I recognized that benefits, subsidy, infection prevention are available by each individual personal effort

今回の一重

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

宿泊施設運営のノウハウを活かして、お金をかけない旅を実践している宿主ですが、この年始の緊急事態宣言直前出発の旅では一度だけ豪華な食事がありました。

普段なら実現しない贅沢ですが、大きな訳あってこれが実現したのでした。

その訳がこれ（この１月にスタートしたての施策です）。

緊急事態宣言も地域限定で施行しているので、調べてみるとこうした特典もありえるようです。おかげさまでかねてからの念願だったご当地一番の名産品を美味しくいただくことができました。

今回 Go Toでの予約は強制キャンセルとなり、その恩恵を授かることはできなかったので非常に有り難い特典でした。

国としてしっかり感染対策・経済復興を旗振りしない結果として、対策面・施策面で各自治体ごとに足並みが揃っておらず温度差やムラの目立つ現状です。自らで調べ動くことで、感染対策そして各種施策・助成の恩恵にたどり着く時代なんだということを実感しました。

それでは、寄り添わない政府には過度に頼らず素敵な一日を！
