3000 ton Drifting!
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
On the last article, I wrote “A disaster strikes when people do not expect it” and it really came to Miyagi. That surprised me a lot.
It was good to hear that tsunami didn’t come, although tsunami alert was announced.
Let us talk about here, Kanmon. We got the long-awaited rain in this weekend. That made me happy, who is suffering from hay fever.
In weekdays before the rain, we have warm weather here. And I was spacing out watching the strait most of the time.
In the strait I was watching, ships were moving dynamic because the current is so fast.
3000 ton class ships were drifting through the strait.
Current speed can be about 10 knot (about 20km/h) at fastest time.

So I can’t help worrying about tsunami. Because waves get bigger and bigger, when it come against the current. It is same system as waves to river mouth are always bigger than other area.
Tsunamis, we can possibly imagine are from Nankai Trough Earthquake and Suohnada Earthquake. We strongly want (local) government to simulate the size of tsunami by using A.I., FUGAKU super computer or any other high tech gears.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
「災害は忘れた頃にやってくる」なんて前の記事で云っていたら、来ましたね、宮城に。
警報は出たものの、今回は津波なくて本当によかったですね。
話変わって、関門の話。週末になってようやく待望の雨となり、うれしくて仕方ない花粉症の宿主です。
雨が降るまでの週日はずっと穏やかな気候なので、ボーっと「海を見ていた午後」が多くなりました。
見ている関門海峡は流れが早いために、船の動きがダイナミックで面白いです。
3000トンクラスの貨物船がドリフトしながら海峡を抜けていきます。
潮流は早いときで10ノット（時速で約20km/h）になります。

そこで心配になるのが、海峡での津波想定。
波は流れに向かうとどんどん高くなる傾向があります。河口の波が高くなるのと同じ原理です。
この周辺で津波が考えられる震災としては、南海トラフ地震や周防灘地震。そこで発生する津波が海峡の潮流最速時に立つとどれほど高さが増すか今あるハザードマップ考慮されているかどうか。なければAIでも富岳でも使ってシミュレーションすべきだと考えます。
