Komorie stay is budget friendly for our guests

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

The number of our guests dropped sharply due to COVID-19 pandemic. And most of our guests have come here by automobiles (incl. rent-a-car) lately.

We guess that this is one of preventive measures. This has been pleased by such guests with their cars.

This is not the most cheapest in Japan but it is pretty cheap as far as I know.

Thankfully they have provided gas at this rate for several months.

So our guests visit here after check-out and fill up the gas and move toward the next direction.

Using automobile and staying at Komorie are the choice of smart travelers during COVID-19 pandemic.

ゲストにやさしい小森江ステイ

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

コロナ禍で当宿を利用されるゲストさんは激減していますが、いらっしゃる方の最近の傾向としてお車（含、レンタカー）の割合が大きくなっています。

これも感染対策を考慮されてだと思いますが、そんなゲストさんたちに喜ばれているのがこちら！

全国最安値とはいきませんが、かなり安いです。

ありがたいのが、この価格でかれこれ数ヶ月固定されていることです。

ゲストの皆さん、チェックアウト後はまずは満タンにして次の目的地へと旅立たれています。

コロナ禍には、お車での移動、そして小森江ステイ、スマートな旅人の選択です。

A quiet night after heavy rain

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

After long and heavy rain, we could finally see the blue sky in the gaps between the clouds. And we could be finally relieved.

During the heavy rain, various people worried about us and sent us kind messages. We do thanks them all.

Weather forecast says that it can be rain several more days, but we are OK so far.

After the rain, even those noisy cicadas are keeping silence in daytime.

In the night, a ferry boat run smoothly through the straight as usual.

Her lights reflected on the surface of the water were so calm.

We could hear the sounds of insects in the distance, and we could enjoy quite night after several days.

大雨のあとの静かな夜

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

激しく長く続いた雨も、日曜の午前中には雲間に少しだけ青空がのぞくようになり、ようやくホッとするこtが出来ました。

いろいろな方から心配のメッセージをいただき感謝しています。

またしばらくの間、雨模様が続く予報にはなっているようですが、ひとまず乗り切れました。

不思議なことに日中はあのうるさかったセミも声を潜めているようでした。

夜にはいつもの定期便が、水面に映る明かりも穏やかに、静かに海峡を通り抜けていきました。

遠くからは虫の鳴き声も聞こえ、久しぶりに静かな夜を過ごすことが出来ました。

What is this for? For fireworks festival?!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

Yesterday’s rain was so heavy that water blew up through the gap in the manhole cover in the afternoon.

That rain stopped in the evening. Just after we felt relieved…

Both of national road #3 and #119 which run under the hill of our guesthouse were extremely crowded.

That was just like super heavy traffic jam for “Kanmon Strait Fireworks Festival” which supposed to be held during OBON period.

It seemed that toll roads and Kanmon bridge, one of only two route to cross the strait by car, were closed due to the heavy rain. So all drives drove toward the other route, Kanmon tunnel, and that created such bad traffic jam.

That was really bad traffic jam.

But when we think about it more closely, we find that Kanmon tunnel is “the method to drive across prefectures”, which we told to refrain from doing it. Is it only me who felt strange that such tunnel was congested by too many cars.

Anyway, we could enjoy normal OBON even in the middle of COVID-19 pandemic.

あれ、なにコレ？花火大会？！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

昨日の雨はもの凄くて、午後の段階ではマンホールからは水吹き上げていました。

そんな雨も夕方には止み、ホッと一息ついたと思ったら、、、

当宿の坂下に走る二本の国道、３号線・１１９号線のどちらもが鬼のように渋滞していました。

お盆だけに「関門海峡花火大会」の渋滞のような激しい渋滞です。

その正体は、お盆の国民の大移動に車で海峡を渡る手段のうちの一つ、関門橋が通行止め、皆が関門トンネルに集中してしまったための渋滞だったようです。

それにしてもスゴい渋滞でした！

でもよく考えてみると、、、関門トンネルって自粛するように言われている「県をまたぐ」手段です。そこが渋滞するなんて「なんか変だな」と感じてしまうのは自分だけでしょうか？

兎にも角にも、パンデミック真っ最中にもかかわらず、いつものお盆を満喫できた変な一日でした。

それでは、県境をまたがずに、デルタ株感染を広げずに、素敵な一日を！
