It comes suddenly.

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

As soon as it becomes September, everything I see looks autumn colored.

I don’t know why, but moon looks different from that of August.

I don’t think that it is because photo was taken with the yellow colored rice field.

Now we can hear bugs’ song from our garden.

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

９月になった途端に、目に映るすべてのものがなんかとっても秋めいて見えます。

お月さまもほんの前日の８月の月とは違って見えるのはなぜでしょう？

稲穂がついて、色の変わった田んぼのせいだけではなさそうです。

宿の庭からも虫の声が響く季節になりました。

Being reluctant

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

How did you spend the last weekend of August, 2020?

There were many people in Kanmon went out side just like they recover forgotten summer.

Merry voices of children playing in the water, it is good to hear in summer but I heard it after long time.
(It is hard to see people in 50m swimming pool, but there was not so many there.)

Temperature was still high but water temperature was no longer hot like 2 weeks ago. So we could feel that we are all over the peak of this summer.

Everything was really unusual in this summer. We do hope that we will have usual summer next year.

*P.S.  I put photo of our port town additionally. There were more people than I thought.

名残惜しんで

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

８月最後の週末はいかがお過ごしになりましたか？

ここ関門エリアでは、忘れていた夏を慌てて取り戻そうとしているかのような人出でした。

（人出とはいっても、ココ関門エリアでは画像程度ですけれど、、、）

子供たちが水ではしゃぐ声、、、なんか久しぶりに聞いた気がします。
（画像では分かりにくいですが、50mプールの方はそれほど人はいません。）

気温はまだまだ高いものの、水温はひと頃ほどの熱さはなくて、全身で夏のピークを越えたことを感じることが出来るようになりました。

これまで体験したことのなかったような異常な夏、、、来年はいつもの夏が戻ってくると良いですね。

The Japanese Summer!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

On the previous article, we talked about a Japanese cultural event “OBON”.

OBON’s special/popular event in Kanmon area is Fireworks Festival.
Unfortunately, the festival was canceled, because of COVID-19 infection.

But I saw many people gathering around piers in the night of August 13th and

Surprising fireworks were launched there. Fireworks were launched from not only one place but also several places.

It was very short show, about 10min, but we could enjoy the Japanese Summer very much.

にっぽんの夏！

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

前回、日本のお盆について話題にしましたが、、、

ここ関門のお盆といえば、関門海峡大花火大会です。
残念ながら今年は新型コロナウイルスの感染のために開催は中止となってしまいました。

ところが、例年の開催日である８月１３日の夜、やけに海岸に人が集まっていると思ったら、、、

それも海峡のあちらこちらで！

ほんの１０分ほどの短い時間でしたが、にっぽんの夏を満喫できたひと時でした。
