History of Southern country
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
We had a repeater guest who has stayed here 3 times. We really appreciate him because he kept staying here from foreign country beyond the border almost every year.
He is a kind of professional traveler using guesthouses during his trip and he visited Japan many times. He made/cook dinner twice for us and he gave us wonderful gifts.
We got surprised when we open the gift he gave us. Because his country, Singapore, is only 54 years old.
It is our surprise that year of establishment was 1965.
After that, we studied about Singapore and we learned about the background and history before independence. It was very interesting for us.
As we hosts guests from various countries, we have been interested in the history of guest’s country. We may be able to get good score, if we have to take examination of world history.

南の国の歴史
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
ご利用三度目になる南の国からいらっしゃったリピーター・ゲストさん。
国境を越えて三度も、、、ほぼ毎年利用していただいていることに頭が下がるばかりです。
旅慣れ・ゲストハウス慣れてしている方で、日本にもよくいらっしゃいます。今回も手作りの夕食を二度振る舞ってくれたうえに、お土産まで。
そのお土産を開いてみてビックリしました。そのお国は誕生してからまだ54年しか経っていなかったんですね。いやいや1965年なんだ！驚きです。
調べてみると、建国にあたっては色々な経緯・背景があったことが分かってきて、非常に興味深いです。
こういう仕事していると、色んな国の歴史が気になって仕方なくなります。今、世界史（特に近代史）を勉強したら、高校生の頃には信じられないぐらい吸収できるかもしれません。
