Developing town, Mature town and Declining town!

Good morning to the World and Kanmon!

There were a lot of finding during I walked around the biggest town in Fukuoka pref.

I originally have an idea of criteria about developing level of town. Such as:

A. Rural country: There is no Starbucks Coffee shop
B. Urban city: There is/are one or more Starbucks Coffee shop(s).

In the sailing boat I used be join as a clue, there is another clue who is taking care Starbucks’ marketing strategy. As he informed us of his idea, I’ve admired about their criterial of opening new shop. This time, I slightly changed my indicator of developing level. Such as:

1. Rural town:
There is no Starbucks Coffee shop yet.
2. Normal Commercial town:
There is Starbucks Coffee shops just for drinking coffee
Majority of guests take away.)
3. Mature town, which grow furthermore:
There is/are one or more Starbucks Coffee shop(s).
They are corroborate with high sense culture of nature.
(Majority of guests stay and enjoy its atmosphere.)
4. Declining town:
There is no plan of opening Starbucks Coffee shop.
There will never be the plan in future.

The Starbucks shop I saw in the city this time was like these.

The advanced shop looks like a library.
(Weekday afternoon, women staying there has spreading high class atmosphere.)

It is not inferior to the real Starbucks in a library.

In the mature city, Fukuoka, there is also a Starbucks Coffee shop in a park with a lot of nature.

 

By the way, we locates in the town, which has no future planning of Starbucks’ opening its shop.

But unfortunately, our coffee is quite better than their coffee.
(There is individual variation in impressions)

Plus there is nice wind blowing here, which never blows around their shops. There is neither stressful smell from dull color faced women and men.

発展途上の町、成熟した街、衰退するまち

世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。

九州最大の街に出かけていくと色々な気付きがありました。

元々、自分の中では「まちの発展度合い」の見える化指標としてある基準を持っていました。

A：田舎 ＝スタバがない
B：都会 ＝スタバがある

以前に乗っていた船のクルーにスタバのマーケターがいて、よく話を聞いていたので、まちをみるスタバの目（出店基準）には一目置いていましたが、今回最新の店舗を見て、自分の中の指標が次のように変わりました。

１：田舎町＝
まだスタバがない
２：とりあえず商業地＝
とりあえずコーヒーを飲むためのスタバがある
（顧客の主流はテイクアウト客）
３：今後さらに発展する街＝
文化発信拠点もしくは自然と融合したスタバがある
（顧客の主流は店内滞在型）
４：衰退していく町＝
スタバの出店計画すらない（将来的にもない）

今回、成熟した町、福岡市で見たスタバはこんな街にあります。

「六本松九大跡地に開業、ＪＲ九州が発表」
その最先端の店舗は、まるで図書館のような雰囲気でした。
（平日のお昼下がり、そこに集う女性達は自らハイクラスのオーラを発していました。）

優しい陽の光と本に囲まれた店内は、実際に図書館内にあるスタバと比べても遜色がありません。

すぐ近くの公園には、自然たっぷりの中で営業するスタバもあり、羨ましいばかりです。

 

さて、当宿は「スタバの出店計画のない土地」のゲストハウスですが、残念ながらコーヒーはスタバよりも旨いです。
（＊感想には個人差がございます。）

そして、上記２・３のまちにはない良い風が吹いてます。「くすんだ顔色をしたストレス臭」もありません。
