The Taste of a Single Father!
Good morning to the World and Kanmon!
During I was in Tokyo, I did various “things to do” there.
But meeting with business consultant is not the most important item.
I had two items of “First Priority”.
*One is to deliver smiles to the children, who are living away from their parents.
and
*Another one is this!
To support my daughter with taking care grand-daughter during her busiest time because of her job‐change starting this December.
After seeing my daughter busy working and house keeping, I decided to help her by cooking Curry Rice, which I had made for her during my single father time. I tried to use same material and recipe and cook my original immediately.
My daughter remember those days eating my curry rice. Her husband also enjoyed the taste which grow my daughter, who is his wife now. Another pot of curry was prepared for grand-daughter with milk and fruit jam as Kid’s Curry. She also enjoyed it and ate it up immediately.
Father’s Taste become Grand-pa’s Taste now.
I recognized that the hardest 12 years of my life as single-father was the task given to me for happy today.
Occasionally, there was a news broadcasted on Saturday noon TV that the life of single-parent’s family is still pretty severe in Japan, according to the research done by ministry of welfare.
“Family income of Single-mother is half of the average in Japan”

I know with my experience that single-parent’s family is really hard living in this society in terms of money and time. However as an experienced single-father, I hope these single-parents will get over current situation, thinking that hardness now is for future happy life of them and their children. The time will come after kids will become independent. Please take care for both physical and mental health until the timing.

シンパパの味、ふたたび！
世界中に朝が、そして関門にもあさが来ました。
おはようございます。
今回の東京訪問。滞在中に色々な用事を済ませましたが、決してビジネスコンサルとの会合が一番の用事ではありません。
第一優先はふたつ。
＊訳あって親と同居できない子供達に笑顔を届けること、と
＊そしてもう一つは、コレっ！
景気回復の波に乗って、転職。12月から新しい職場勤めを始めた娘の手助けにと愛孫の育児（子守り）サポートです。
転職に際して、日本ではまだまだ本人に求められる労力は尋常でなく、あらたな人間関係（上司・同僚・顧客）の構築からひと通り落ち着くまで、仕事にも仕事以外にもどうしても時間が取られてしまうようです。
歓迎の懇親会・導入時研修から、この時期特有の忘年会まで、さすがに着任早々の会社・職場では育児時間通りに退社が出来るはずはありません。
多忙な娘夫婦を見るに見かねて、腕まくり、シングルファーザー時代のソウルフード(?)、カレーライスを作ることにしました。
出来るだけ当時の材料・プロセスを忠実に、チャッチャとカレーライスを作ったのでした。
親父の味を懐かしがる娘はもとより、その日は少しだけ早めに帰ってきた娘婿も「娘（彼にとっては妻）を育てたカレー」を喜んで食べてくれました。孫にはミルクとフルーツジャムを入れたお子様カレーが好評で、あっという間に平らげてしまいました。
親父の味が、いまや爺の味に、、、
シングルファーザーとして苦労した12年間（小学生の途中 〜 大学）はこんな風に楽しめる「今」のために与えられた試練だったんだなぁ、としみじみ実感。
折しも土曜のお昼、テレビで「ひとり親世帯」の生活が極めて大変だということが厚生労働省の調査であらためて分かった、という旨のニュースが流れていました。
母子家庭の平均年収、子どもいる全世帯平均の半分 （NHK 12月16日）
ひとり親の皆さんは、お金や時の面で本当に大変でしょう。けれど、それも子供達が一人前になった後の素敵で充実した人生につながる試練だと前向きに考え、健康だけには気をつけて乗り切ってほしいと願います。
それでは、どうぞ今の辛さが倍返しでしあわせに変わる素敵な未来を！
